The moment we were in the home we both fell in love with it. It's our style and it felt like home. It was kinda weird that we both liked it so much because when we were looking for our current house I went into over 50 houses and I never got "the feeling" until we found our house. I also got "the feeling" at the house we went to see. So we decided to put an offer on it. Then I went to Arkansas.
We finally negotiated the price and we were under contract, contingent we would sell our current home. As fate would have it, someone put an offer on the house we were under contract with and they offered full price. So since we had a contingency they gave us 72 hours to sell our house. I felt helpless because I was out of town. Can you imagine putting your house up and selling it in only 2 days? Technically we had Friday, Saturday and Sunday to sell it but because no one looks at houses on Sunday we only had 48 hours. Can you imagine our panic? I really thought it was going to be impossible. We decided to give it a go and see what would happen. We put our house up online on Friday morning and by Saturday night we already had 5 different offers, our first offer was 5 hours after it was put on the market.
I believe things happen for a reason and it seems like everything fell into place with our new house. I feel like it will be a fresh start for our family. I am sad to leave our current house and neighborhood since they have been fantastic but I think it's for the best and we're only moving North 15 minutes.
We are closing on our new place the end of this month, so I better get packing!
