Time Out

At Addie's 18 month check up, her pediatrician told us we could start putting Addie in time out for discipline. Because she is so small sometimes it seems too early but I know she is smart enough and she understands when she shouldn't be doing something. Sometimes she will even say "No no" as she's doing something she shouldn't be. She's hardly ever in time out, most of the time it's because she's playing with something that she shouldn't be or hurting (pulling Cambree's hair out). When she sits in time out for the whole one minute, she sits and stares at me with this face. She doesn't smile or talk, she's silent and gives me puppy dog eyes. I can't but help smile when she's put in time out, I'm in trouble with her.

In this picture, I was telling her no because she was trying to pour water out of the bathtub all over the floor.

Just another day

Since the sun hasn't been out for the past few days we decided to take advantage of playing in the sun.

Can you see these little freckles coming on Addie's checks? Seriously adorable.

Cambree is quite interested in her shadow. She thinks it's so funny that it follows her around. She also loves to step on others shadows because she thinks they can feel it. Love her little imagination.

Roxy also loved playing outside. I know, she is overdue for a haircut, her appointment has been made. As of now she looks a little bit of a lion.

Aunt Aimee's house

My kids LOVE their auntie Aimee and they both love going over to her house. It's like a little kids paradise; baby chicks, swing set, trampoline, sand box, a turtle named Bob and of course Aimee who spoils them rotten. Cambree keeps asking to go back so she can play with the baby chicks.

Cambree had no fear, she actually got a little too excited and shook one. The poor chick threw up afterwards, so we had to take the chicks away for a while. Addie on the other hand, didn't want to hold them but she enjoyed looking at them.

They both loved jumping on the tramp as well. Cambree of course said to me afterwards "Wish I had a trampoline." I bet you do Cambree, I bet you do. For now we will just enjoy it at her Aunt Aimee's house.

The weather sure has been beautiful, which means we've been playing outside a lot. Spring is almost here!

Crusin' around

We woke up with a small layer of snow on our grass this morning. First thing out of Cambree's mouth, "Do you think we could go sledding?" Unfortunantly we didn't have enough snow to go sledding, so the girls took a drive in their Corvette in our driveway which made them as happy as can be.

At least the rest of the week is suppose to be in the low 60's so we can play outside more!

Tracy Aviary

Every Wednesday for the month of March, Tracy Aviary is only $1 per person. We met my mom and Emma to take a look at all the birds.

Both my girls are in love with my mother, I'm glad they have a close relationship with their grandparents.

One of their favorite things to do is feed the birds. Cambree giggled the whole time, especially when they came up close to her.

It was a beautiful day for the month of March, the sun was shining and it was warm enough to just wear a jacket.

Cambree had fun running around with her cousin, Emma. Emma is only one year apart from both my girls. I can only imagine all the fun they will have together as they grow up.

Afterwards we ate lunch at Liberty Park. Then let the kids play. My sister Chelsie, took Addie down this curly slide and Addie's expression afterwards was priceless. She was shocked and frightened.

If you live nearby, you should drive down to Salt Lake, it will be worth the trip!

Sunny days

Lately we've had some sunny days in between our rainy days. We try to take advantage of the sunny days by playing at the park or in our backyard. I seriously can't wait for spring!

My artist

Cambree started drawing pictures of people just recently and it always makes me smile.

She drew this picture of me, seriously adorable.
