Cabin Life

My sister and her family drove 16 hours from Arkansas to come visit all us in Utah. They were all eager to meet their newest family member, Mr. Lincoln. The day after they arrived, we all drove up to my Uncle's cabin in Kamas to spend the next three days together. My mom made sure to bring a bunch of activities to keep the grandkids busy. It sure was a beautiful three days spent in the mountains, with no service.

Lots of loving and cuddling Lincoln.

Benton of course got some fly fishing in.

Lots of art projects, kite flying, treasure hunting, and scavenger hunts happened. The kids loved it.

Benton had to go into town and stay overnight to get internet reception since he had to work one of the days we were up in Kamas. So we took full advantage and went swimming with all the kids.

And of course we had to take the kids fishing up at Smith & Moorehouse. I seriously couldn't get over the reaction from the kids when they caught a fish. They screamed so loud from excitement and then once Benton had to remove the hook it was sheer terror from the boys. My girls are use to watching Benton gut the fish and remove hooks, so they weren't phased at all but all the other cousins were almost in shock. It was hilarious to watch.

As you can see it was a fun filled three days together. More to come on what we were up to!

North Shore

We finally made it to an actual swimming pool. Addie has been asking for months now and her wish finally came true. I think it was the best day of her life. She smiled, giggled and ran all over. My kids are tired and so am I. Lincoln pretty much slept through it all, lucky guy. He sure did look cute in his suit though!

Loving this summer weather! And lucky us, we are going swimming again tomorrow!

Cambree's Well Check

Cambree weighs 36 pounds and is in the 25th percentile for weight. She is 41.5 inches tall and is in the 30th percentile for height.

She is most certainly proud to be 5 years old. Ever since her birthday she will tell me after she does something "it's because I'm 5." I guess she can do a lot more now that she's 5...who knew so much could change so quickly? It's pretty funny but somehow she actually seems older. She makes me smile and I'm so happy she's my oldest.

My mom gave her money for her birthday and we took her shopping to spend it and Cambree thought it was pretty amazing. She picked out this headband and earrings in the pictures below and she thought she was the luckiest girl ever. I'm glad she will let me take her picture to capture how she is at her age. She really is beautiful inside and out.

Love you Cam cakes.

Lincoln's Check Up

We went in for Lincoln's 2 month check up this afternoon even though he is only 7 weeks old. I had to go a couple weeks early, I'm just glad we were able to combine his appointment with Cambree's well check.

Here's a little bit about Lincoln, he weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces which means he is in the 55 percentile for his age group. And he is 23 inches long, and is in the 80th percentile for length.

He is doing really well. He still sleeps A LOT! My girls didn't sleep as much as he does. He really loves his sleep. He wakes up twice a night, but last night he didn't wake up till 5am, which I can't complain because I'm actually getting some sleep. He really is a chill baby. He only cries when he's hungry or tired...oh and he hates driving in the car. Other than that he just hangs out with us if he's not sleeping, which he usually is.

He is starting to focus on our eyes. He has giggled a couple times. He loves Cambree, I think it's her cute little voice and how she talks to him because he always smiles at her...or as Cambree would say it "He gives me the bestest smiles EVER." He really is a joy to have in our family and completes it perfectly. I love our cute little man and how chubby he is. He's already in size 2 diapers and is in 3 month clothing...so different than both my girls. It's a little sad since he's our last baby and he's growing so quickly. But he will always be my baby...poor little guy gets smothered in kisses from all of us girls. I mean, how could we not?

Love you Linc!

Summer fun

Last week we were able to hang out with the Earls who were in town from Iowa. We basically let the kids play while we sat, talked and caught up. It was fun for all the cousins to play with one another since we only see the Earl family once a year. My girls love hanging out with our families and they were in Heaven all day long. Lincoln did really well and didn't seem to be too overstimulated with how many of us were together. Surprisingly he slept with all the chaos of all the kids together. Benton missed out since he was in California all last week for a work trip. He's home now and I'm so thankful. It was exhausting taking care of the kiddos all by myself...but we kept ourselves busy as you can see!

Love you guys, miss you already!
