9 Months Old!

We took Addie into the doctor for her check up today. She weighs 13.1 lbs which is below 0% and she is 26 inches long which is in the 10 percentile for her age. Our doctor advised me to try feeding her baby food 3 times a day vs 2 times a day, which is what I'm doing currently. Other than her weight, she is a healthy baby. Luckily no shots were required today.

Here's what Addie's up to at 9 months old:

She loves to play with toys. Right now one of her favorites is her little piano. She's event tried hoisting herself up to stand with the piano. She just smiles the whole time listening to the music that comes out of that cute little toy.

Cambree is usually by Addie's side. Cambree finally has become "jealous" or "territorial" of her things. We're currently working on how to share. Even though Cambree has her not so nice times with Addie, she loves her to pieces. It melts my heart watching Addie sit and laugh at Cambree.

Her two bottom teeth have popped in. It was a rough week or so with not sleeping. I'm sure it really hurts. I'm just glad they came through but I'm not looking forward to the rest of them to come in. But she sure does look awful cute with her little teeth.

When she's tired, you can tell. Either she's laying down or she gets really fidgety.

When she wakes up she's usually cooing in her crib. Most of the times she's unwrapped herself and is either playing or sitting up and smiling.

Addie is always such a happy baby but this past weekend she had a fever and was miserable. Benton and I agreed that she must have felt awful because we couldn't get her to smile, which is unusual for her.

Bye bye army crawl! She's now figured out how to really crawl.

So you can imagine that since she's learned to crawl she can get where she wants really quickly. She loves to get into my garage sale pile, it's like she's drawn to things she shouldn't be playing with. We've had to move this basket she's chewing on away from her because it holds Roxy's toys and she would love at the chance to chew on them. Yucky!

We were blessed with such an easy, happy baby who smiles almost all the time.

The last 9 months have gone in a blur. I am soaking up every moment that I've had with Miss Addie. I know what it's like to not have those moments you dream about with your babies, it's indescribable. Grief is something that I've had to take day by day. I think I will always have pain and that feeling that we are missing one of our family members but it isn't something that I can fix or control. I guess all I can do is concentrate on the now and love my kids and husband with all my heart. Because that's what truly matters.
