Arkansas

I was lucky enough to go spend 11 wonderful days with my sister, Karly and her family. I haven't been in 2 years, so I was excited to go back. Whenever I go there I feel at home. Which is weird since I've never actually lived there but she has for 8 years now, so I guess that's why. I love her and her family so very much, I'm so thankful our families are so close to one another. The only thing that could have made the trip better would have been to have Benton there. He had to stay at home and work since he's still fairly new at his job. Maybe next time!

Here's some highlights of our trip, there were a lot!

Addie loved playing in her Uncle Nick's hair. She does this to Benton too, it's pretty cute...reminds me of a little monkey because she looks just like them picking through their hair.

Caterpillar nests were everywhere, it was neat to see them up close. This one was in their backyard.

One day we took a walk around a lake and let the kids play with the rocks and dandelions.

Eurkea Springs is a fun little city with shops and restuarants. My only request while visiting Karly was to go to the Christ of the Ozark's statue. It is 67 feet tall on top of a mountain. I think it is just stunning to look at.

On the way home I saw this old house that I wanted a picture of. I have a thing for old, run down houses. It makes me wonder who lived there and what their lives were like? I'm not sure how old it was but it was calling me to take its picture.

One day at school Jack was a terrific kid, which meant we could visit and eat lunch with him. It was fun to be back inside an elementary school, Cambree loved it too!

Addie was determined to crawl on her knees, right now she army crawls but I think soon she'll be on all fours.

We went to Crystal Bridges Museum, Alice Walton who is the daughter of the founder of Walmart donated all her artwork to the museum for all the public to see free of charge. It was surprising how much artwork she owned, and so different in style.
