Blizzard 2011!

Last week we had a huge storm, as did one third of the US. I got home from Atlanta on Sunday, so on Monday I ran to the store to get a few things before the snow storm. Well I didn't expect to get to Wal-Mart and have all the shopping carts taken...it was chaotic! So since I was carrying Cambree in her car seat I just grabbed a couple items in my free hand. Afterward I went to Sam's Club, I was only in the store for about 20 minutes and when I came out my car already had snow frozen on the windshield...time to get home!
On Tuesday, Benton went to work for only 1/2 day they closed down his work, as you can see the start of the storm was coming down heavy...

 

On the news they said to stay inside, with a Blizzard Warning in effect. On Wednesday, work was canceled for Benton. I went to let Roxy outside to go potty, and here is what we woke up to...

 

 

As you can see, I could barley open the door. We had over 50 mph winds so their were huge snow drifts. We had snow in some places over 3 feet high.
Obviously we stayed home and just relaxed, but in the afternoon I decided to tackle the snow, as you can see we had about 2 feet of snow just in our driveway...

In all my years living in Utah, I've never seen so much snow in all my life at one time. Sure the mountains get a ton of snow, but this was insane...it was all in my driveway.

Thank goodness the storm has past, and we were able to leave our house on Friday... I was so sick of being stuck home. Hopefully we won't have a storm like that again, the news said it hasn't sen a blizzard like that in 111 years, so hopefully I won't have to witness it again! I am ready for SPRING!
