What we've been up to...

Wow! We found out we were moving and time just flew by! It all happened SO fast! We ended up moving all of our stuff out on November 18th. Benton and his dad drove our U-haul towing our civic and Benton's nice friend, Kevin drove my car. We were so blessed they went along with Benton on a 3 day drive to Illinois. They unpacked the truck and came home the next day, a very quick trip.

While Benton was driving across the United States, Cambree and I got to sleep over at different families houses. We stayed the majority of the time at my sisters, Chelsie's house. I knew she would be the very hardest for me to leave. When Benton picked me up and I had to say goodbye, seriously that was so hard...I'm crying right now even thinking about it... I had a serious breakdown. It was hard saying goodbye to all of my friends and Benton's family but nobody compared to Chelsie. I miss her so much, it makes my heart hurt not being by her anymore. I dream of the day when we can live by each other again. Love you Chelsie.

I also stayed a night at my cute sister in laws house, Kattie's! We kept talking about having a sleepover before I knew I was moving, I'm sad we didn't get more sleepovers in! Kattie is one of the funniest girls I know, I have so much fun talking with her. Her little boy, Cowen LOVED Cambree...a little too much, he was willing to trade his baby brother for her. It was really cute, he'd say my baby to Cambree and then told me that Cache could be my baby instead. He unfortunately didn't get his wish.

Before we left we ate over at Benton's dads house. His step mom, Marie is the best cook! She is so talented. She is one of those women who can do it all. I told her and wished I had a chance to just live with her for a week because she has so much good information that I wouldn't know....all the tricks she learned growing up. I have appreciated how willing she is to teach me how to be a good cook and housewife. I have loved the years of visiting with her while Benton and his dad go off looking at computer stuff. I will sure miss my time with Marie. Hopefully they'll come out here and visit.

While Benton was gone, I was able to go to his Gram's 90th Birthday party. She is in such good health, it's amazing! She is so cute, I know her and my grams would have been friends, they remind me of each other. Luckily Benton got to see her at Thanksgiving, I sure hope I am like her when I am 90.

The day after Thanksgiving we were on a plane to travel to our new home, so crazy! Cambree did excellent on the plane, even with having an ear infection...I'm so thankful she was such a good girl!

Benton and I unpacked like mad men when we arrived, we worked for multiple days till about midnight. My mom came on Nov. 29th to help with Cambree while I unpacked, thank goodness for mom's! She was so great to watch Cambree, I was able to achieve a lot...we are all unpacked! It was nice having her here to explore the city with, go grocery shopping and Christmas shopping. I was so sad when she left, I felt all alone, I know I have Benton and Cambree...it's just hard. Thanks mom for coming, I couldn't ask for a better mom...I can always count on you whenever I need you.

Our house we are renting was built in the 40-50's...we're not too sure? But it has a lot of charm and I think it's really cute. I LOVE old homes, so I was happy with our friends choice! Yep, we moved to a house neither of us had seen! His friend Adam who referred Benton to his job here looked at a couple houses we found online and we pretty much left it up to him to tell us which one he'd suggest. Thankfully we are very happy with his decision. It's about half the size of our house, so that was a little tricky, but I found a place for everything and if there wasn't a place...well it's being stored in our garage with my car! I think we are really going to enjoy living here.
Cambree's room, bathroom and our office...
