28 Years Old!

This past weekend we celebrated Benton's 28th Birthday. We didn't do a whole lot on his actual birthday, we stayed home and I made Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches for dinner and brownies since he doesn't like cake. Over the weekend we took the 2 hour drive to Chicago, unfortunately it was a really cold day outside and it was raining and then later in the evening it turned into snow. So driving around in Chicago was a little chaotic, not knowing where we were going made things a bit worse....Chicago drivers are quite impatient. But the city is really pretty to look at, can't wait till it's sunny weather!

We started the day off at the Museum of Science & Industry. I was so excited to go there, as a kid my mom would take us to the museums all the time, so I couldn't wait to go back. It's hard to explain if you've never been, here in Chicago they are gigantic compared to the museums in Utah. I'm really excited to take Cambree once she gets a little bit older, it's a childs dream. We can't wait to go to the Field Museum...we'll probably go once the weather gets better. We took a million pictures since there was so much to see....here are some random pics of what we saw....they have a TON going on...baby chicks hatching, a baby exhibit that shows all the stages of life in the womb, life size airplanes, tornadoes, thunder, etc....it's AWESOME!!!

After the museum we were starving so we went to Uno's Pizzeria. They serve deep dish Chicago style pizza. It was one of my favorite places to go as a child. I think it's a really fun, different place if you've never been...but honestly I've had better pizza. But for some it's divine. It was nice to go back and try it again since it's been at least 16 years since I had been.

Ooh, good post! Happy Birthday Benton. It's going to be so much fun getting to see all of the neat places you will get to go living in a new state. Makes me almost want to move. Almost. I really like the museum picts - looks super cool!

That pizza is huge! I don't think I have ever had authentic deep dish pizza, looks good. Happy Birthday Benton! Looks like a fun day I love all the Christmas trees they had around in those museums, so festive and fun.

What a fun little family outing. Chicago is some place I always thought sounded really cool, I would like to go some day. I can't believe that pizza...it is so huge and fat. Looks good to me.

I'm so glad you're posting pictures and updates. I was just thinking about you the other day and all the fun we had at work. I'm fairly certain I've never laughed so hard in my life Ü I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and all is well in the 'Windy City'. Love ya!
