Part Two: Anaheim

On Sunday we drove to Anaheim for our FOUR days at Disneyland & California Adventure! My parents met us in Anaheim and our kids were thrilled that they could join us!

The girls LOVED the parade! They screamed with excitement at all the characters, their dreams came true on this trip!

Cambree's favorite ride was The Matterhorn Bobsleds, Addison's was Splash Mountain and Lincoln's was anything he was allowed to ride because of his height.

One of the downfalls of Disneyland was the long lines. Every ride had a minimum of an hour wait to two hours. It was pretty awful, especially since it was in the 80's. We did what we could with getting fast passes but we couldn't avoid the crowds. It was a bit frustrating for the kids and adults. It's a lot of money to spend and wait in line for so long. But they all cheered up once we got on the ride and then it happened all over again. I think we may wait 3-5 years until we return, that way all of our kids can understand that we can't do anything about waiting in line, it's what they need to expect.

One of Cambree's highlights of the trip was that the Tooth Fairy came twice because her front two teeth fell out a day apart! She looks adorable with no front teeth!

We got to meet a bunch of characters. Surprisngly Lincoln was terrified of all of them except for Pluto. He wouldn't even take a picture with Minnie and Mickey. He would scream, cry and close his eyes. He was terrified. I was actually a bit surprised how fearful he was of them. He didn't mind them far away but up close it was like he was being tortured. I really can't remember him ever clinging on me like that before. So the girls mostly got pictures with the characters, which was fine!

All in all it was a great trip and we were glad to finally have experience Disneyland for ourselves!

Onto our next vacation!!!

I love all your pictures! Your kids' faces are priceless. YOu are so good at capturing their emotion. I love it! We are planning a trip the first of next year either January or February. We haven't been since Cohen was 18 month old. Hopefully the lines wont be as bad then. I don't know. It seems like it's always busy no matter what. Any tips or tricks you could pass along?
