On Sunday we drove to Anaheim for our FOUR days at Disneyland & California Adventure! My parents met us in Anaheim and our kids were thrilled that they could join us!
The girls LOVED the parade! They screamed with excitement at all the characters, their dreams came true on this trip!
Cambree's favorite ride was The Matterhorn Bobsleds, Addison's was Splash Mountain and Lincoln's was anything he was allowed to ride because of his height.
One of the downfalls of Disneyland was the long lines. Every ride had a minimum of an hour wait to two hours. It was pretty awful, especially since it was in the 80's. We did what we could with getting fast passes but we couldn't avoid the crowds. It was a bit frustrating for the kids and adults. It's a lot of money to spend and wait in line for so long. But they all cheered up once we got on the ride and then it happened all over again. I think we may wait 3-5 years until we return, that way all of our kids can understand that we can't do anything about waiting in line, it's what they need to expect.
One of Cambree's highlights of the trip was that the Tooth Fairy came twice because her front two teeth fell out a day apart! She looks adorable with no front teeth!
We got to meet a bunch of characters. Surprisngly Lincoln was terrified of all of them except for Pluto. He wouldn't even take a picture with Minnie and Mickey. He would scream, cry and close his eyes. He was terrified. I was actually a bit surprised how fearful he was of them. He didn't mind them far away but up close it was like he was being tortured. I really can't remember him ever clinging on me like that before. So the girls mostly got pictures with the characters, which was fine!
All in all it was a great trip and we were glad to finally have experience Disneyland for ourselves!
Onto our next vacation!!!

Part One: San Diego
We booked our trip to California at the beginning of this year. We've been talking about taking our kids to the beach and Disneyland for a few years now and the time to go finally came!
We headed out after Benton got off to work and drove to San Diego. The car ride was long. Horrible traffic, the closer we got the further away our navigation system said because traffic kept getting worse. So our first stop, the beach! I think that was my favorite thing we did during our whole trip. I loved seeing their excited faces and hearing them laugh and play in the water. We just let them run in, clothes and all. And I didn't regret it one bit, see for yourselves!
The next day we surprised the kids and took them to Sea World! It was a new experience for all three kids and they had a blast riding on all the rides, seeing the different mammals and touching the fish.
And of course before we left San Diego we hit up the beach one more time with our swimsuits on!
Part 2 to be continued!

Soccer
I enrolled Cambree in soccer for four weeks. She plays every Tuesday & Saturday. She's done pretty well considering she's never played it ever before. Also I have no idea what the rules are, so I can't help her much. I think she likes to be out playing with kids no matter what she's doing. She said next she wants to play basketball. I must say, it's pretty entertaining watching all these little seven year olds run around on the field!
And Lincoln didn't like us telling him he wasn't allowed on the field. Two year olds!

Labor Day
Over Labor Day weekend we headed up to the mountains to go camping with my sister in law and her family. The campgrounds were packed. I think eveyone else in Utah had the same idea. Luckily we shared a campsite and were able to stay for two nights.
We all went fishing which kept everyone busy. They caught tons of fish with Benton on his kayak. The kids were all thrilled!
Cambree was obsessed with using the paddle board. She had no fear and just went wherever she wanted on it. I had to scream at her because she was going way too far away from us. I know what she's getting for Christmas!
It was such a fun weekend away with family. I love that our cousins are living back here in Utah so we can spend more time with them. It was the perfect way to spend our Labor Day weekend!
