At 16 months old Lincoln got his first haircut given to him by his daddy. We set him up in the bathroom with a sucker and he sat perfectly still the whole time. I thought he would be more afraid of the noise but he wasn't.
Here's a before...
During.
And afterwards!
He's looking like such a big boy, it sure makes him look older!

First day of Preschool
Addison attended her first day of school this week and she did so well! I've been so nervous for her to start school. She has never really been away from us and I just didn't know how she would do. I imagined her clinging to me, crying as I dropped her off but it was quite the opposite. Her teacher, Mrs. Duke is the sweetest thing and took her by her hand and off she went. I kissed her on her cheek and off I went. It was bitter sweet. I'm so excited for her to be in school and be able to grow up in so many ways but it's hard not having her right by my side.
This week she's been my little shadow. I think its an adjustment for her to not have Cambree with her 24/7. I went into the other room to change Lincoln's diaper and she yelled out "Mom, why do you keep moving away from me?" Obviously I hadn't been moving away from her but I can see how she thought I was since I was doing my own thing and hadn't noticed she was trying to follow me around. She also has been saying when she can't find Benton or myself..."Has anybody seen my mama?" It makes us laugh, she really is something else.
We are so proud of you Addison! We can't wait to see what this year holds for you!

Cascade Springs & park days!
We decided to take Lincoln and Addie to Cascade Springs one morning while Cambree was at school. It was a short little walk around the springs and it was beautiful. It's nice to just get out and explore!
And any day we go to the park is a good day for the kids!

Moab
Can you believe I've lived in Utah most of my life and I have never been to Moab? It's only a four hour drive from our house. I'm so glad we booked this camping trip at the beginning of this year. We took our kids out of school and headed down to Deadhorse Point State Park to camp for 4 nights, 5 days.
Our campground was absolutely beautiful and just a few minutes away from breathtaking views of Deadhorse Point. We also had the cutest little kit foxes at our campground running around.
Unfortunately within the first twenty minutes of arriving Lincoln threw up all over me. I thought maybe it was car sickness but I think he had the stomach flu since it lasted till about midnight. Let's just say it wasn't very fun for any of us...no washer to clean clothes, it was pretty awful. Thankfully he felt much better the next day.
The girls said it was their favorite campsite yet because of all the sand to play in. It kept them busy for hours.
We also took a ton of walks and the girls loved riding their bikes around.
We took advantage of exploring Arches National Park for the next three days. There was so much to see. Addison kept saying the whole time "I don't yike hiking." Cambree was a bit grumpy at times as well...you can clearly see it in one of the pictures below. People stared at us like we were crazy for hiking around with three little kids. They actually did pretty good, besides the occasional complaint.
Ice-cream was a must after hiking one afternoon. That always brings a smile out in them!
We also went to their aquatic center to swim and cool off from the 90 degree temperatures. Smiles all around.
I never imagined I would love camping as much as I do. I really enjoy exploring our beautiful state and spending such wonderful times and making memories with our kids. We will be back hopefully next year to Moab to explore some more!
