We celebrated our 24th of July by camping in the Uintas. We didn't have plans, it was more of an impromptu trip and luckily after trying two different campgrounds we got the last spot at Washington Lake Campground.
It was really pretty and within walking distance of the lake. The girls had fun bringing their sand buckets down and playing in the dirt.
There also was some marsh land nearby and some kids helped my girls catch tadpoles. Cambree kept saying "I've never seen a tadpole in real life before." She thought it was pretty amazing.
One day we went up to Echo Lake in the Uintas. The turnoff isn't even marked on the road, Benton had just read about how great fishing was at the lake. I didn't know what to expect and I'm glad I didn't, otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to go. The road we drove on was extremely bumpy. As in Benton had to put his truck in 4 wheel drive and my stomach was dropping so much that I thought I was going to barf. Luckily after about an hour of driving on the rock filled dirt road we made it to the lake. The girls laughed the whole ride up. And when Benton asked them what their favorite part was they said the drive. I'm glad someone enjoyed it! The lake was really pretty up there.
I was a bit nervous camping with Lincoln since it was our first attempt since he was born. I shouldn't be surprised because he did perfect. Napped on our bed during the day. He did so good.
I'm so happy we have our little trailer and that we can getaway from it all when we can. Sure do love my family.
