Addie's stats

Addie went to her 3 year old check up and she luckily didn't have to get any shots.  She's doing really well, still pretty petite though.  She weighs 24.8 lbs which is in the 5th percentile and she is 35.75 inches tall which is in the 25 percentile for height.

She's still obsessed with drinking her carnation diet milk drinks for added calories.  She still drinks it like a baby, loves to lay on us while she drinks from her sippy cup.  Pretty much she melts our hearts.

We need to work on getting her potty trained.  We keep talking to her about it, hopefully she does well. She's still not too interested but I am sick of buying diapers for her.  So once Cambree's in school, we are going to work on getting her out of diapers!  It's happening soon!  Love our Addie pads.

Moon Lake

We headed up to Moon Lake again this year over the girls birthday.  We went last year and we loved it so much that we made sure it was a priority to go back again this year.  We invited Benton's sisters, Carol & Aimee and their families to join us. Surprisingly we've never been camping with anyone, so it was fun to go with others and spend time with family.

Unfortunatley the day we arrived I started getting sick.  Body aches, sore throat and then a fever came that night at 103 degrees.  I felt awful, so by the next afternoon I was being dragged out of the mountains to Roosevelt which is an hour away to go to Instacare.  I ended up having Strep and an ear infection.  So they gave me a shot and some medicine and back to camping we went.  Within 24 hours I felt so much better.  It was a rough start to our camping trip.

Aimee who takes all our family pics brought her camera, which made it easy for me to be lazy and not have to take many pics. So most of these below I stole from her, thanks Aim!

Benton went fishing with our family multiple times, which of course he loved.

The kids played on the beach.  The minute they saw mud they were of course attracted to it, they couldn't stay out of it.  They had an absolute blast!

We were all able to go on a hike together.  The kids actually did pretty well. We carried a couple of them some of the way but overall they did really well.

And of course we threw a party for Addie and Allie.  I thought for weeks about what to do for Allie.  Since her birthday was two days after we arrived, I couldn't bring balloons like we usually do because the helium wouldn't last that long.  So I bought flowers and we all threw one in the lake for her.  We did it as the sunsetting and it was a beautiful tribute to her.

After some tears were shed, we headed back to our campsite to eat cupcake and open presents.  Addie was thrilled it was her birthday.  The only thing she asked me for was a picture book like "Damie" aka Cambree.  She was more than thrilled to see that I made one for her.  We also gave her a pedaless bike, it will help her learn to balance but it will take some time to learn.

Moon Lake was a hit again.  We will be back again next year!

Our move

So we did it. We moved to Heber City, Utah. It has been the longest, craziest, roller coaster ride experience we've ever had with selling/buying a home. There were times where I literally could have pulled my hair out and screamed at the top of my lungs because I was so frustrated. But thankfully in the end it all worked out.

Let's start at the beginning, shall we? We've been throwing around the idea of moving to Heber for about a year now. Just talking about it, not seriously...until this past spring. One weekend we were bored and decided to just "look" at houses in Heber. Well after looking we found some we were interested in. We ended up putting an offer on a home in Heber when I was 9 months pregnant. We were crazy. Then when I was 38 weeks along we put our home up for sale. Yes, I was super pregnant. Cleaning and prepping our house to look presentable for showings was pretty terrible. About 2 weeks after Lincoln was born we were under contract. We actually had showings 2 days after we got home from the hospital, it was awful. We ended up getting 4 offers before we accepting our buyer but for different reasons, they fell through.

We knew the process would take a bit longer because the house we were buying was new construction and we decided we wanted them to just finish the basement so we didn't have to do it later on and they could match the upstairs of the home. Well the buyers of our Fruit Heights home were doing a VA Loan which is trickier and harder to get approved for that they ended up delaying the process by months. We had so many set backs it would take me forever to list them all. Let me just say it was ridiculous how many problems we ran into. After all the craziness we finally had a closing date. Benton and I packed our trailer up and drove it to our new home to sit for the night till we closed on our new home. But on the way back to our Fruit Heights home, there was another set back. We ended up living out of our packed house for almost 3 weeks. Our couches were in the garage because we had gotten our carpets cleaned thinking we were moving the next day. The girls slept on their mattresses in Lincoln's room. It was a mess. Thankfully the girls didn't care, I did but they didn't.

Honestly if you had asked me if I was moving or what was happening with our move my answer would have been different every day because it was so back and forth the whole time. I'm actually surprised it ended up working out because last week I thought it wasn't going to work out. It was total chaos. We actually moved into our new home before knowing when the buyers of our home were actually going to close, it was scary but we had to because of our schedules.

Thankfully it all worked out. We moved into our new place last Tuesday, July 28th. I finally have my upstairs unpacked...now onto my boxes in the basement. I think we are going to love it up here in Heber. It's absolutely breathtaking. And so far the kids love it. I keep asking Cambree if she misses our old home and she replies "nope, I love my new house." They love being in the mountains.
We're thrilled to be living like normal people and not out of boxes. Now we can enjoy the rest of our summer!

Washington Lake

We celebrated our 24th of July by camping in the Uintas. We didn't have plans, it was more of an impromptu trip and luckily after trying two different campgrounds we got the last spot at Washington Lake Campground.
It was really pretty and within walking distance of the lake. The girls had fun bringing their sand buckets down and playing in the dirt.
There also was some marsh land nearby and some kids helped my girls catch tadpoles. Cambree kept saying "I've never seen a tadpole in real life before." She thought it was pretty amazing.

One day we went up to Echo Lake in the Uintas. The turnoff isn't even marked on the road, Benton had just read about how great fishing was at the lake. I didn't know what to expect and I'm glad I didn't, otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to go. The road we drove on was extremely bumpy. As in Benton had to put his truck in 4 wheel drive and my stomach was dropping so much that I thought I was going to barf. Luckily after about an hour of driving on the rock filled dirt road we made it to the lake. The girls laughed the whole ride up. And when Benton asked them what their favorite part was they said the drive. I'm glad someone enjoyed it! The lake was really pretty up there.

I was a bit nervous camping with Lincoln since it was our first attempt since he was born. I shouldn't be surprised because he did perfect. Napped on our bed during the day. He did so good.

I'm so happy we have our little trailer and that we can getaway from it all when we can. Sure do love my family.
