Moon Lake

We left for Moon Lake on the girls birthday. So that morning we stopped by and visited Allie since we would be out of town. We brought donuts and sang "Happy Birthday" to them both.

Afterwards we were on our four hour drive to Moon Lake in the Uinta's. Let me tell you, it was worth the drive. It was my favorite campground that we've gone to, so extremely beautiful.

We stayed for three nights and did a lot of different activities. We rented a boat for three hours one day and took the girls fishing. Cambree as always loved riding on the boat and trying to catch fish. Addie however was exhausted and kept almost falling asleep on me.

Thanks to our Nanny's advice, we brought paints and let the girls paint rocks...it was a hit!

Taking walks was one of my favorite things to do because it was unbelievably pretty.

We also spent a lot of our time playing at the beach at the lake. Addie however didn't like the sand after the storm since it was really wet and made you sink when you stood in it.

On the last night we stayed it stormed pretty bad and we woke up to snow in the mountains. It was a beautiful sight to wake up to.

We decided this location would be our yearly tradition. Cambree asked Benton "Dad, can we come here every time?!" That tells you just how much we all loved it. We will be back next year for sure!

Birthday Girl!

Addie turned 2 this past Thursday. We celebrated Addison and Allie the weekend before with our family since we knew we would be out of town on her actual birthday.

We opened presents, which she of course loved...

She got a bike for her birthday and was so beyond happy. She's been eyeing Cambree's and now she has her own!

Sang to her (her expression was priceless) and she even blew out her candles. I think she liked her cake too!

We also did our ballon release to send our love up to Allie in Heaven.

Their birthday is filled with emotions for me. Both extreme happiness & sadness. We feel the love and support from all our family and friends. So thank you for all your kind words and positive thoughts, I know I really needed them.

Happy Birthday girls! We love you!

Midway

We went up to Midway this past weekend to go camping. Now this was my type of camping, water hook up's, showers, bathroom's, power, a/c, restaurants and grocery stores at our convince. I was such a happy camper!

Cambree seriously was so excited to go camping. She kept saying "BEST DAY EVER!" She however had her moments....

The girls love playing together, they are a bit wild but they make me smile.

We went to the park and let the kids run around. Cambree found some beautiful sunflowers to pick.

Later that night we went and got some yummy shakes. They were so delicious.

The next morning we woke up and went fishing to a small lake. I was the only one who caught a fish and it was too small to keep. But the girls enjoyed playing with the rocks and attempting to catch a fish.

Later on we met my parents and all rode the Heber Creeper railroad.

I hope our girls have great memories growing up going camping as a family. I know we've already made some great ones!

Liberty Park

We drove down to Salt Lake to enjoy the overcast day and play outside. Liberty Park has a man made stream where kids can play and run around in. My kids were climbing up the waterfalls until we found out that it wasn't allowed. But they had fun splashing in the water and playing with their cousins.

They of course had to play at the park and swing for a bit!

Oh how I love summer days!
