This is the last post about Addie turning 1. I had to jot down where she's at physically and developmentally.
Her stats:
Weight: 14.4 lbs, 0%
Height: 27.25 inches, <5%
So she's obviously still really small. I figured as much since she still fits into 3 month clothing. It's crazy this past summer seeing her wear what Cambree wore when she was born. The doctor was concerned about her weight because she is falling off her own curve. She's not on the charts for her age group either. They ran some blood and urine tests and said that she was in the early stage of anemia. So she's taking some medication to help with that. Our doctor told us about meeting with a nutritionist, we'll have to decide if that's something we want to pursue.
Developmentally she's right on track. She can say "Mama" and "Dada" and she copies sounds that you make. For example, if you roar like a lion so will she. She also coughs on que if you say "Excuse me." She talks a lot of gibberish.
She loves playing with toys especially the play phone. She mimics saying "hello". Benton and I can understand what she's saying but I doubt others would. If she doesn't have her play phone pretty much anything else works.
Her wave is adorable to me, I just love to see her little hand go up in the air and twirl around.
She has 8 teeth. She can eat pretty much anything and she loves all types of food. She loves eating goldfish, popsicles, baby food, cheese quesadillas (her all time favorite), yogurt smoothies, pretty much anything you stick in her direction she will try but she has to feed herself. She doesn't like when you stick food in her mouth for her, otherwise she will spit it out, look at it and then stick it back in her mouth.
She naps twice a day, about 2 hours each time. And I have been nursing her only at nap time and nighttime. Unfortunately it's changing this week, I'm going to lessen it to only at nighttime.
She still is a shy little girl and a mama's little girl for sure. If she is crying and I hold her, she immediately stops. It's cute but also hard at times for myself.
And at the end of the day she loves to play in the bath with her big sister.
We love you baby Addie!

I love this post! She is just about the cutest thing ever. I love all of the moments you capture with your girls. You are so good at that.
ha! little pip squeak! Not sure if you remember but Cohen was quite small and they told me he was anemic:) Doctor told me to feed him beef! ground beef, small pieces of steak. He said if the pieces are small enough he could chew with the teeth he had and gum up the rest! It totally worked:) his levels popped right up. Clearly he has grown out of his weight problem!
