So if you read my last post I mentioned that physically something was wrong. Well last night we finally put two and two together. It started on Saturday when I noticed something was wrong with my tongue but I just figured it would go away. Then on Sunday the twitching started on my eye and then it started streaming tears down my face for 8 hours continuously.
I was talking to Aimee (my sister in law) when she mentioned it sounded like I had Bell's Palsy. We then looked on Google and I had A LOT of the symptoms. Luckily my doctor lives across the street, so she received a call from me around 9pm and said it was Bell's Palsy and sent in a steroid prescription for me to start. If the steroids work, its suppose to have better outcomes but it doesn't help it recover any sooner.
My symptoms:
Paralysis on the left side of my face
Forehead wrinkles disappear
Eyebrow doesn't raise on left side
Impossible or difficult to blink
Nose runs
Difficulty speaking (some words)
Difficulty eating and drinking
Distorted taste
Pain in or near the ear
Drooling when drinking
Eye closure difficult or impossible
Excessive tearing
Blink remains incomplete or infrequent
Asymmetrical smile
It usually lasts anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months. It goes away as fast as it comes without warning. So I most likely won't have too many pictures of me, or at least of me smiling since half of my smile doesn't raise up with the rest of my mouth. Gees, what's going to happen next?

Hey sweet girl, you're not kidding. What's next?! You poor thing. We need some girl time. Name a time I'll arrange the rest.
XOXOXO - ALWAYS thinking of you.
Holy cow! Seriously! Bless your heart. That sounds miserable and I hope it leaves quickly.
I usually don't know what to say when I post a comment. I know nothing that I say could ever take away your pain, but I guess I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you and care about you and hope that you guys are doing okay. Im sure its a day at a time and even though im a stranger to Cambree, I think she's the cutest thing ever and I'd take her anyday, anytime if you needed a break or to spend some time with Addison or whatever else you wanted to do. Cohen would have so much fun with a new friend. I'm so sorry for your pain.
