Some good news...

I promised Benton once we had the babies I would go get the TEE procedure done on my heart.  It has been something we've worried about since I had the TIA this past year.  It involved a Cardiologist sticking a tube down my throat so they could get a better view of my heart and be able to see how big the whole in my heart actually is.

Benton dropped me off at Lakeview Hospital at 7am this morning.  He was able to work from home and watch Addison.  My wonderful Mother in law came and picked Cambree up, so Benton could work without her as a distraction.

It was weird being at the hospital all by myself.  I started feeling nervous and then I decided I've already experienced the worst thing I could ever experience in my life, so what do I have to be afraid of? And weirdly enough I was as calm as could be, all of my fears were gone.

I honestly was expecting the worst, and was delightfully surprised with good news.  I do have a PFO (Patenet foramen ovale) which is a hole between the left and right atria (upper chambers) of the heart that fails to close naturally soon after a baby is born.  So I've had it my whole life and it didn't affect me until this past year.  Thankfully my whole is small enough where they don't need to do any surgery to close it up.  All I have to do is take a Baby Asprin every day to help thin my blood so that another clot doesn't happen and travel up into my brain again.

I am so thankful all is well with me.  It's one less thing for us to worry about.  I'm glad I went and had the procedure, so I don't have to wonder and worry anymore!
