I married my High School Sweetheart 8 years ago today. It's hard to believe that we started dating 12 years ago. I cannot imagine my life without him by my side. We have been through a lot together. Honestly, it's funny to think of where we started out and how it all began. We were so immature in High School, I'm surprised we made it through those years, with all our hormones raging. But I am so glad that we did. We've been able to grow and change together.
I love all our memories that we share together. Each year brings new memories that I know I will cherish my whole life. I must say every year also brings a new surprise or something I might not have considered. Benton opens my eyes up to a whole world of possibilities. He brings out a better person in me. I am lucky to have him by my side. I know he would do anything for me and our family. I am excited to experience this next year with him. I think it will be a little more difficult than years past but I am lucky to have him as my partner.
I love you Benton, I hope you know how much I adore you. Happy Anniversary!

Big Girl Bed
It happened, our baby is no longer a baby. She's officially in a big girl bed at 23 months old. We bought a bed for her a couple weeks ago and were storing it in the twins soon to be room. I was waiting to set it up till I had everything I needed. When we brought it in from the store, she literally laughed and played on it for a good 15 minutes straight. She was in heaven. Everyday we had to go sit & lay on her new bed. She LOVED it from the minute we bought it. We were going to wait to set it up till her birthday but she was WAY too excited to wait another 3 weeks.
Her big girl bed...
She's adjusted really well. No problems yet with her climbing out. When it's nap time or bedtime I say to her "Come on Cambree, it's time to go night night." she walks in her room and gets in her bed, she makes me put all 4 of her blankets on her just right and asks for a book to read. And that's it, she's good to go! Hopefully it stays that easy for a while.
My little one all snuggled up ready to go to bed, she likes to lay with her legs in the air for a little while...kinda funny.
She looks too little to be in such a big bed~
One less thing to cross off our to do list before the twins arrive!

Our Backyard
When we bought our house our inspector told us we needed a new retaining wall. We tried to work it into the deal of us buying our house, but it didn't work out. In April we hired a company to tear down our existing wall and replace it so that it was sturdy and our neighbors yard wouldn't fall into ours.
We had the wood railroad ties holding up the wall before....
our steps...
Our yard was an absolute mess for weeks...
We had some delays because of snow as well...
But now we are able to go outside and enjoy our beautiful new retaining wall.
We put in some new sturdy stairs...
And the biggest, most needed section our new 8 foot wall.
I'm glad it's all done!

Dr. Appointment
We went last night to our appointment, I'm now 21 weeks. I'm always beyond excited to see my cute little babies and also a little nervous (I just want them to both be healthy). I never thought about having twins and now that we are I can't imagine not having twins. I'm in love with them both already.
Both babies are measuring what they should. One weighs approximately 13 oz & the other weighs 14 oz. I'm glad they are pretty close in size, hopefully they stay that way! Unfortunately it was still too hard to tell if they are both girls. One of the babies had their legs really close together and the other was in a horrible position. She said they were both sitting really squished up. Hopefully they'll allow us to see what they are next time!
At 20 weeks...
I'm feeling really good. I can feel the babies moving around, it's the best feeling ever. Benton also was able to feel one of them kick me last week, at about 20.5 weeks. I still can't tell which one is moving, but I'm excited for the day when I can.
Obviously I am A LOT bigger than I was with just Cambree in my belly. Weirdly enough since my first appointment I've only gained 1 pound. My weight just must be redistributing itself to my belly because I've got a baby bump for sure! Sadly if I even walk down the street I get a really bad side ache. I can only imagine what it will be like close to time to delivery.
Just to give you a reminder of what I looked like, here's me at 22 weeks pregnant with Cambree. So 2 weeks further along than the above picture.
Hmm...there is quite a difference. I guess that's what happens when you've got two babies in your belly!
Our next appointment is in 2 weeks, the 3D ultrasound. It's going to be amazing & hopefully they can tell us what their genders are for sure!

On a warm sunny day...
Cambree put her boots on and headed outside to play...
And we of course had to enjoy a yummy, melty banana creamie!
I'm so happy summer is right around the corner!

Princess Party!
Last week Cambree went to the cutest party, a princess party. Rapunzel & Belle came to play with all the princess'. She was in absolute heaven! She said "this is fun!" the whole time and wanted to dance. Guess I'll be doing a princess party for her one day!

Dress Up!
Cambree is going to a birthday party today where she can dress up. I got her tutu out and she did the rest. Yes, she's wearing my headband as a necklace.
Roxy was also able to participate, even though she wasn't too thrilled about it!
