We moved in last Friday afternoon and after a bunch of hard work by Sunday we were all unpacked! I am not one to procrastinate to unpack. I feel so much better once everything is in it's spot! My dad stayed until yesterday to help us. The house is really cute and I LOVE it's location, it's fun to rent in SLC.
Our landlord however has been a little ridiculous. He has never rented the house or been a landlord so we had to fix A LOT of stuff. Thankfully my dad and Benton are handy. We didn't get hot water til last night, so I was about ready to freak out on him but we finally got it taken care of. Thankfully Chelsie only lives about 10 minutes away so we've been showering at her home, thanks Chels!
Our home...
Master Bedroom...
Cambree's Room...
Our one and only bathroom...
Kitchen...
Dining Room...
Family room...
I love that you can look out from the kitchen to the family room and vice versa...
We also have an office, but we need to buy a bookshelf to put away our books. We also have an unfinished basement, which is really nice to have for our extra storage!

Moving!
A week ago today we left Bloomington, Il. I cannot even believe a week has already gone by! We were going to leave on the 24th but we ended up packing up the truck earlier than anticipated so we thought might as well get on the road!
While we were finishing up our odds and ends, I put Cambree in her swing...poor thing really needed a nap.
Here's our truck loaded up and ready to go!
Let me just say that it is a 23 hour drive non-stop. Yes, it was a LONG drive! We left Tuesday around 4pm and arrived in Utah on Thursday about 5pm. My dad flew out from Georgia to help us drive the rental truck, it was so nice to have him help us. We honestly couldn't have done it without him! I also enjoyed chatting away with him, SO nice to have company!
I bet you are wondering how Cambree did on such a long drive? Well she was AMAZING! We couldn't have asked for a better baby as a passenger. She of course fussed a little bit but once we put a movie on she stopped whining. She did sleep a lot in the car which meant sleeping at our hotel was awful. We didn't check in till late both nights, which threw her off completely. But I'm glad she was an angel in the car :)
And of course we can't forget Roxy! She actually was the best traveler, just slept the whole time!
I thought it was somewhat a pretty drive. Really there isn't much to look at driving to Utah.
We however stopped here in Iowa...
Good old Nebraska...
At a rest stop in Wyoming they had a monument for Ab Lincoln, which of course reminded us of Illinois...
And near the end of our trip we drove through a downpour. We couldn't see anything out our windows. At least it lasted only for about 5 minutes. Here's some pics before we entered into the rain...
And 1400 miles later we arrived in beautiful Utah!
Hopefully we don't have to make that trip again anytime soon, or at least not driving!

Our friends...
One of the best things I have LOVED about Illinois is our sweet neighbors. I cried leaving them. Honestly I didn't mind leaving the girls I met, don't get me wrong they are all very nice and sweet but I just don't have that closeness like I do with Barb. She has been such a great friend to me and I have enjoyed every minute with her.
I love watching both Barb and Chuck with Cambree. They are seriously in love with her. Cambree is really spoiled every time we go over to their house. She gets so much attention. Last week when I went over to visit with them, Cambree climbed into Barb's lap and wanted Barb to read to her. I wish you could have seen Barb's face, she was literally in heaven. She said "My cup runneth over..." She was so delighted that Cambree would climb into her lap. It made my heart hurt as well just knowing that we wouldn't live close to them anymore.
Barb's cousin Joan was in town so we all thought it would be fun to take a stroll around our zoo. It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors!
Here's the crew...
Cambree was afraid again of the sheep, she just doesn't like the noise they make.
Aren't these flowers gorgeous?
Once I let Cambree out of her stroller she thought she was the tour guide...
We have had a lot of fun moments with Barb and Chuck. I enjoyed the dinners that we shared as well as all of our conversations. Barb gave me the sweetest note before we left, I will cherish our time with them forever.
Love and miss you guys!
