Life as a mommy...

It's been 2.5 weeks since our darling Cambree was born, how time goes by so quickly! Being a mommy is a lot of hard work. I finally understand so many things I've heard about being a new mommy. I love being a mommy and wouldn't trade it for anything. So far everything has gone rather smoothly. Benton and I say almost everyday how lucky we are to have such a good baby. She very rarely cries during the day, she's our little angel. But for some reason she struggles sleeping in her bassinet at night. I put her to bed and she cries and cries, the moment I pick her up and hold her close to my chest she falls asleep, I put her down and she cries again, I don't get it? Any suggestions?

I have so many fun photos of Cambree meeting family members and experiencing new things, so enjoy all the pics!

Wait six months and then let her cry it out. I know terrible suggestion but that's all I got. I already told you for the first six months of Ledger's life he slept in my arm curled around him cause that was the only way I could get any sleep. Hopefully it is just a phase :)

When they are this little I would do whatever makes her comfortable. Try a swing or bouncer or even her carseat. Try keeping her up a little longer before bed to wear her out. But you cannot spoil an infant in my opinion!

I love the pictures!
Crying suggestions - experiment, experiment, experiment until you find what's right. Taylor got very cozy in her sleep positioner because she was secure and couldn't move. I also figured out that her mattress pad was NOT comfy so I put some soft blankets under her sheets so it was softer. That seemed to help a lot.
Try her swing or bouncer...anything that simulates her previous home...all warm and fuzzy!

I agree with all of the above comments, a swing or bouncer might do the trick. My babies also loved to be swaddled really tight. Babies like that since it remindes them of how they were before birth. You can't hold her enough at this age though, what a sweet girl she is.

I say the same as the rest....Lincoln was the exact same way. I went to Babies R Us and bought some thing called a snuggly or something. It is like a blanket that swaddles them, like a little pocket. It very much helped him and me. So glad things are going well, keep the pictures coming she is so beautiful.

Let her sleep with her mommy! For the first little while at least. Just don't let her do it for too long or you will never get her out! She is super cute by the way.

All babies do that basically....You'll find what's right for her. If you want advice....Babies really don't sleep super well when they are in the same room with you. They say that we make more noise than we think. They hear us and want us, or we hear them and can't sleep. Babies make a lot of cooing in their sleep as well. She might do really well in her own room. Maybe she would do better in a crib??? Then guess what??? You'll have another baby and have to change everything you've done in the past. They all want something different. Life is a guessing game with babies!!
