I had the opportunity to babysit Spencer for 24 hours, it was Chelsie and Taylor's 4 year anniversary. So we picked him up on Saturday night on our way to visit the Earls. Spencer was so cute in the car, he was singing and talking (nonsense of course, we couldn't understand what he was saying). Benton and I just looked over at each other and smiled, we're not use to having someone talking in the backseat. He was great at Kattie's, played, ate some dinner and was a gentlemen. On Sunday he slept in, and then we went to 2 different parks. Holy cow, parks are scary for 2 year olds....they are so big, with holes where a little guy could fall in, not sure where everyone takes their toddlers, cause it's scary! So we went to a second park, still scary, but not as bad. Here is Spencer going down a slide at the 2nd park...

Spencer and I going down together...

I didn't get ready all day...I have to give it to all you mom's out there, I'm not sure how you do everything? I was exhausted-when he napped, so did I. It was weird because Spencer was awesome, no fits, no crying, nothing, he was perfect, but for some reason I was still worn out. It was a great experience to be a mom for 24 hours, hopefully my kids will be as wonderful as Spencer.

I agree parks scare me death with toddlers, I don't ever feel like I can really relax until my kids are preschool age. Every time we go to the park I feel like all I do is follow Luke around making sure he doesn't fall to his death or something, it's exhausting...
Melissa you're going to be a wonderful mom!!
LOL! I love this post...too funny. Don't worry, when you're a mom you just do what you need to - to get the job done..ready or not!
What holes are you talking about?! You crack me up.
Aunts are so much fun and Spencer is so lucky to have you!!
Glad you had fun.
Thank you SO much for watching him for us! You are so great with him! It was nice for us not to have to worry much about him while we were gone. I knew he would be perfectly safe with you! He sure loves his Aunt Melissa!
Parks make me a little nervous also. Especially when there are bigger kids running round practically knocking Gracie through one of those crazy holes!
Glad you guys had fun. Spencer is so blessed to have such a wonderful aunt!
What a cute little guy he is...they can be awfully exhausting though can't they. I bet he just loves you, you seem like the cutest little aunt ever!!
I wish I could baby-sit Spencer. He is too cute! You are such a good Aunt and will be a wonderful mother.
That is such good practice! I really never babysat much and then I had Hunter and was shocked how busy I was just taking care of him, let alone finding time to take care of myself. Lol! Good thing kids are so darn cute. And you totally adapt to being a parent. You'll be such a great Mom. Spencer is lucky to have such a fun aunt.
Oh my gosh lissy loo you made me laugh hard! You are so silly! You are going to be a great Mom.....besides you already have practice from taking care of Benton. Your kids will most likely mind you better than he does LOL! Cute pictures! I am sure it was a fun day and he is a doll! Luv U, Mom Linda
