Shingles!!!!
Last Tuesday Benton woke up with a rash, I of course played it off as no big deal. When he gets stressed out he always gets a mouth full of cankers and once in a blue moon a rash. So I told him not to worry about it, but as the morning went by the rash started to spread. He ended up going to 2 different doctors and found out he did indeed have the shingles. I've never had the shingles, but they are suppose to be really painful. They are the adult version of the chicken pox. They say you can get them from stress or if your immune system goes down for a few days the virus could come out. He was suppose to get surgery on his torn ACL last Thursday, he was stressed out about working his 2 jobs, going to school full time and then having a big surgery on his knee. Since he has shingles they couldn't operate, so he has to wait till he gets better. It really sucks because he can't go around people, especially kids and pregnant women. So pretty much he just has to stay inside. Also we can't sleep in the same bed and he can't touch me either. I hope he gets better really soon, I miss hugging and kissing him.

Oh Melissa...so sad! Poor Benton, my dad got shingles when I was like 10. I remember it being horrible for him. Get well soon poor Benton, no fun at all!
Melissa, that is so sad! I'm sorry to hear that - hopefully it clears up soon - that's got to be the puts for sure! I hope you don't get it too!
Oh that's awful poor Benton, I hope he gets rid of them soon! Both my parents have had shingles my mom had hers when she was in KY visiting me once, she was so miserable.
Yikes! Poor Benton. I've heard of shingles, but I didn't know people really got it. I hope he feels better soon!
Oh man that stinks, poor Benton! And a torn ACL too? Didn't he tear his ACL back in high school? Who is doing his surgery. Sorry to be so curious I just work in orthopedics so I am always interested in sports injuries. He should look into getting a "double bundle" It's a new way to fix ACL's there is a doctor in Salt lake who does them, it's pretty awesome. Either way I hope everything turns out good with both the shingles and the knee!
That is crazy! I hope he gets better soon, for both of your sakes! That does not sound like fun at all. Feel Better Benton!
