Moving is rough!

We put our house up for sale early in the Summer.  It was a hard decision but it didn't come lightly.  We had our house on the market for almost 3 months before it sold.  It was kinda crazy because we decided if it didn't sell in those 3 months then we would stay put.  We both had mixed decisions if we should stay or go but ultimately moving back to Davis County benefited our family in many ways.  Benton would commute about 45 minutes total a day instead of 2+ hours daily.  We would be much closer to all of our family members and we could do a 15 year mortgage instead of a 30 year.  All in all we hope we made the right decision.

Here's the house from the previous owners.  It's a hard house to take a pic of because there are so many trees but it's one thing that drew us in!

In the middle of October we moved.  I had forgotten how much work it is to move.  Especially with a family of 5.  We were all tuckered out for a couple weeks.

My kids call our new house, "the tree house" since their is a nice sized playroom above the garage with a cubby that has a tree painted on it.  They were excited to move to their new home and each have their own room (not in a basement).

Addie found a perfect spot for her to hang out at!

And Lincoln loves riding his bike in the driveway!

Also we decided we moved to this house at the WRONG time of the year.  Right when all the leaves fall off all the trees...we got lots of leaves to clean up!

I will post more fun before and afters of this house!  We are putting our own decorating touches to it!

Labor Day

For Labor Day we headed to Aspen Campground with our niece Breanne, her husband Chad and kids, Ryan and Bella.  We love having camping friends!!!

They had fun riding their bikes down the hill at our campground!

Cambree found wood for our camp fire one night.

We all went fishing and sadly caught nothing but it was a pretty drive!

And the kids swam at a little pond by our campsite.

It was the perfect camping trip to end the season!  Can't wait for our adventures next year!

Summers over...onto school

School came WAY too fast! I swear the Summers get shorter every year.  And in a blink of an eye, its over.  Cambree was thrilled to start 3rd Grade this year!

And since Addison started Kindergarten this year she got to have an extra week off before school for her.  Wasatch County was the first County in Utah to do all day Kindergarten.  It was a big adjustment for her to be in school all day long.  It was also weird for Lincoln and I to be together all day long without the two girls!

The girls had a fun first day of school!

Addison at 6

I can't believe it's been 6 years since the twins were born.  It all happened in a blink of an eye.  We miss our Allie so very much it still hurts every day that passes to not have her here with us. Nothing we can do about it, except move on and enjoy every single day with the ones we love and make the most of what time we have with one another.

Some of our family gathered together at her grave site.  I love that we have our tradition of sending her love notes on balloons to Heaven.

Addison is such a fun spirited child.  She's all sorts of sassy, sweet & shy. She doesn't like to interact with new people.  She smiles this funny way when she doesn't want to be smiling.  She hides when she gets into trouble (usually under a table or chair), if she's crying and Benton says to her "You better turn that cry into a smile"...she always giggles.  She never falls asleep in the car.  She talks non-stop.  Her and Cambree sleep in the same twin every night even though they both have their own beds. She loves to copy letters from things around her so my passwords have ended up written out on big pieces of paper.  She still loves to be carried like a baby after her bath.  She cries when you brush her hair.  She loves to be tickled, she will hold up her hand, arm, legs or shirt where she wants you to "title" her.  We love who she is and can't wait to see what she will become.

Her c's and k's are t's.  So when she speaks it's still adorable.  Example: school is "tool", cat is "tat", car is "tar", kitty is "titty".  However she is getting tested to go into speech therapy to help her.

We loved celebrating our girls on their birthday!  6 is going to be a good year!

Here are some of Addison's Favorite Things at 6:
Food- Thai Noodles
Candy- Peanut Butter Cups
Best Friend- Evie
Color- Pink
Animal- Zebra
Movie- Snow White
Wants to be- An Artist

Love you Addison!

Party for ADDISON!

For Addison's 6th Birthday, she wanted to have her first ever friends party!  I must admit it made me a little sad because that means she's growing up and wants to do her own thing.  But it makes me happy seeing her with her cute friends.

We had a pool party planned for our house but it started raining.  So we picked up her friends and we all went to the Heber City Pool!  They had the best time and I was glad we went to the big pool because the kids loved it so much!

Little Lincoln

Our little man has so much personality and we love how it shines through!  He's obsessed with dinosaurs and rolling his tongue right now!

Island Park

We planned a trip the beginning of this year with The Earl family (Benton's sister) and the Sanders Family (our niece)!  Our kids have the best time with each other and they loved camping within walking distance of one another.

We were able to walk to the river and let the kids play (supervised of course).

We all headed to Yellowstone for the day.  We ended up splitting up because it was a bit too hard trying to stay all together.  But we all saw some amazing wildlife and nature.

My favorite part was just being able to relax and hang out.  I'm pretty sure that's what my kids favorite part was as well!

And we all know Benton's favorite part of camping, fishing!

I love the Summer months and being able to explore.  Also I love our families and being able to fun stuff like camping together!
