Egg Obsessed

I've mentioned this before on my blog, but here we go again. I'm talking about Cambree's obsession with eggs. She cannot get enough of them, not eating them but looking, holding and talking about them. She thinks they are adorable.

We made brownies the other day and once she sees there's an egg involved she's as happy as can be. She sits there holding onto her precious egg. She talks to it, kisses it and she told me "I need to keep it warm." So that's what she's doing in this picture, taking care of her egg.

 

She's so excited for Easter because of course eggs are involved!

Shopping isn't what it use to be...

I decided to meet my sister last minute at the Gateway yesterday. It started off great...

Cambree was ever so stylish in her new sunglasses.

 

Addie was content in her stroller...

 

Then we went to Old Navy and it went downhill. Let's just say I needed a time out because I had lost my patience. Cambree had a couple of bouncy balls that went flying when she fell and I went to catch them and ended up hitting Addie in the face on a sign. Not the best mommy moment. Chelsie came out of the dressing room with both of my kids crying. We were done.

So to make up for the disaster at Old Navy we let the kids play in the water for a little while. I was able to calm down and recharge and so were they.

 

 

Next time I'm going to try to leave my kids at home...

Spring is around the corner...

Today was a beautiful 58 degrees and my girls were loving it. I think they're ready to play outside in the sun. Unfortunately it looks like its going to rain & possibly snow these upcoming days, so they will have to wait a little bit longer.

Cambree put on a spring dress and was dancing around with her baby doll. She also put a bunch of hair clips in her hair. She said she looked so pretty, I agree!

 

And little Addie was able to wear a short sleeved onesie today to show off her baby rolls. Love her dimples in her arms, too adorable.

 

 

 

We're ready for Spring, how about you?

A little jealous...

If I ever take pictures of Addie, you can bet Cambree will be right there next to me doing whatever she can to get my attention.

 

So of course after I took a picture of Addie, it was Cambree's turn. She even stole her headband and put it on herself, but I bet you probably guessed that.

 

 

I guess we're at that stage where I have to pay attention to them both equally or Cambree will let me know!

I can't even imagine what mischief these two will be up to in about a year or so. Glad they have each other to play with!

 

Bananas...

Since rice cereal didn't go over very well, I thought I'd give baby food a try. I considered giving her vegetables but since she didn't even care for rice cereal I thought bananas would be best. Here's how it went...

Before I fed her, she was all smiles...

 

I knew she was hungry because she was eating her tray...

 

And as soon as I put the bananas in her mouth she freaked out. It was as if I had put Tabasco sauce in her mouth, she wasn't a happy camper.

 

I guess we'll have to keep at it. Hopefully she'll enjoy it someday.

While we are gone...

Benton and I went out to dinner last weekend and had my parents watch the girls. This is what we came home to, my mom and Addie all snuggled up...

And Cambree and my dad all snuggled up watching tv wearing these silly hats...

 

Aren't grandparents the best? It certainly made me smile!

6 Months Old!

I cannot believe a half of a year has already passed since we had Addison & Allie. This past week was a rough one, I know it's just going to take some time to heal.

Here's some information about Addison at 6 months old. She is the sweetest baby. She smiles ALL the time. I can easily get a picture of her smiling at any given time.

 

 

She weighs 11 pounds 5 ounces which is under the 5% for weight. And for height she is 24 inches long, also under the 5%. I'm sure with time she'll catch up.

 

Cambree loves Addie. She loves to kiss, hug and hold her. Lately Cambree has been copying how I talk to Addie (baby talk) and it's pretty funny to listen to. I'm glad they have each other.

 

 

She still enjoys bath time. She kicks her little legs so the water splashes out of the tub. Soon she'll need to bathe with Cambree, just as soon as she can sit up on her own.

 

She can grasp objects and holds onto them. It always amazes me when she sees something she wants and grabs it.

 

I think she might be teething because she's really drooly and sticks everything in her mouth.

 

She's been nursing great. I finally gave in and let her try rice cereal for the first time yesterday.

 

As you can see she had some mixed emotions...

 

 

 

 

We know how much of a blessing it is to have our girls apart of our family. Allie is always in our hearts, even though she's not here with us. Love our baby girls that came to us 6 months ago.
