This past weekend we drove up to spend time with Benton's dads side of the family. We've never gone anywhere all together, so I was pretty excited! We went to Benton's Aunt, Kathy's cabin they built. We went this past summer and it is absolutely beautiful!
On Friday night Kathy made a turkey dinner. It was so nice visiting with each other. One of my favorite parts about staying at the cabin is there isn't any service. Yep, cell phones don't work. I love not having my phone with me and getting all of Benton's attention. I miss the days of not having a cell phone, but I know I couldn't live without it now either. It's a love hate relationship.
Benton's grandparents had 2 children Kathy and Dave. We sat and listened to them tell stories about how things were when they were little. It was fun to hear them reminisce of their past.
On Saturday morning we woke up and got family pictures. I will post them once we get them, the wonderful Aime Photography took them of course! Here are just a few that I took. Seriously I need a new camera, it really struggled this weekend. Most my pictures turned out blurry.
Breanne and her husband Chad thankfully were able to make it, I love spending time with them. They are the cutest couple. When you are around them you know they love each other very much. You can just tell by the way they interact with each other. I just love it!
Benton and Breanne...
Breanne, myself and Kate...
Sorry Breanne you were in most of my pictures :)
And of course myself and Cambree. Dang sippy cup!
I wish we could spend every weekend at their cabin with Benton's family. It's such a nice get away. Love you all!

Festival of Trees
For the first time ever I went to the Festival of Trees at the South Towne Expo Center. I of course asked Chelsie to come along. I didn't quite know what to expect, so when I walked in and saw all of the trees I was surprised as to how many they had.
This is what we saw when we walked in...
At first I couldn't really pay too close attention to what everyone had done to decorate their trees because Benton's brother has a tree there for him and I was on the look out. Shayne's half sister, Kerrie does a fabulous job with her family to decorate a tree in honor of Shayne. Shayne, Benton's brother passed away on Jan. 11, 1998. For those of you who didn't know Shayne was a nurse for Air Med. They were on their way to pick up an avalanche victim in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The crew was able to pick up the injured victim but when they took off they didn’t know they were flying straight into a sudden winter storm. The gust of wind made the helicopter crash into the mountain and everyone was killed.
Shayne is Benton's half brother, so they share the same father, just different mothers. Here's a picture of Shayne, he was only 33 when he passed away. I think he looks a lot like Benton.
Shayne's tree...
Cambree and myself in front of his tree...
I'm glad I was finally able to make it down and see all the trees. There were a lot of trees dedicated to children, parents and friends. It makes you miss the ones who you've lost throughout the years.
I realized after seeing all of the decorated trees that my tree would like kinda sad when I got home. I just might need to buy some more decorations when they all go on sale. I took some picture of some pretty amazing trees...
This picture of Spencer is too cute. He was so excited to see all the different ways people decorated their trees. He ran from tree to tree!
It was such a fun afternoon!

Sisters!
This past weekend my cute sister in law Kattie came back to Utah to visit. She moved to Texas in April, while Benton and I were living in Illinois. We hadn't seen her since last Thanksgiving, it's been WAY too long! We decided all us girls needed to get together and have a girls night. I was seriously excited, I am definitely one of those people who love doing things with family. We ate dinner at Calfiornia Pizza Kitchen, so yummy!
This is Aimee and Kate at dinner, aren't they both so beautiful?!
And of course the beautiful Carol and myself...
After stuffing our faces and chatting we went and saw Breaking Dawn. We've gone every year since Twilight came out. We laughed and had a great time in the theater, yes we might have been a little obnoxious...but to our defense there were some funny parts. I know I say this all time, but I can't express how much I love my sisters in law. Every time I am with them, I am so thankful I married into their family. I love each of them so much and am so glad they took me in as one of them.
Kate was able to come over Monday morning and hang out with me all day long. We just sat around, let the kids play while we talked, and for lunch we made yummy Panini's with my George Foreman Grill (I am so happy Kate showed me that I didn't need to buy a Panini Maker!). We went to the park to let the kids play, I love when we can still play outside in November!
Cache, Cambree and Cohen...
Kate put Cambree and Cohen in the swing together, Cambree thought it was pretty fun!
Cambree still loves the swing, she pretty much giggles the whole time.
That night we had Benton's dad and Marie over for dinner, I didn't get any pictures. But it was nice all being together for a couple hours. Kate slept over and left in the morning.
Cambree and Cohen loved saying goodbye, not sure why they enjoyed kissing each other so much? It was really cute, they kept giving each other kisses over and over. They must have missed each other!
Such a great time with family! More family time this weekend, I can't wait!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Our family has so much to be thankful for this year. I am so thankful for Benton, who works so hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home with Cambree. He truly is my best friend. I am also thankful that I have Cambree, she is the light of my life. She makes me happier than I ever expected, I love her with all my heart. Oh and I love you Benton with all of my heart too! How couldn't you love this face...
It was so nice to be back in Utah for Thanksgiving! We drove up to Benton's dads house. Since we made plans with them, I couldn't stop thinking about today...I was just so excited!
Before we left I had Benton take a picture of Cambree and I, good thing since it was the only one taken of me today.
We arrived early so we could hang out before we ate our feast! Cambree loves to play with this glass cat that Marie has in her living room. I'm not sure if she understands that it's fake because she will sit there and pet it.
I couldn't wait for dinner, I was starving. And of course when we walked in their house it smelled so delicious, I was ready to eat! Dave and Marie are some of the best cooks that I know. Unless you've had their cooking you wouldn't understand how good it is. EVERY SINGLE THING IS DELICIOUS! You can taste the love they put in their food.
Here they are in the kitchen before we ate...
I didn't even get a picture of all our food, I was too hungry and forgot. I must say that it met every expectation that I had. SO YUMMY!
We are so happy to live so close to Dave and Marie. I know Cambree will be able to be close to her grandparents now that we live closer.
Here's grandpa, Benton and Miss Cambree
Cambree of course got some good snuggling time with Grandpa...
She loves to snuggle with grandma as well, but I didn't get a picture :(
It was such an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I hope you all had as good as a day as I did. Thanks Dave and Marie, we love you very much!
