Cambree's Party!

After 2 months of talking and talking and talking about Cambree's birthday party the day finally arrived!  Honestly I couldn't be happier because it was quite exhausting talking about the same thing every day.  But all that planning turned into a great party!

She wanted a llama themed swimming party.  So that's what she got.  She showed me cakes she wanted me to make but instead I made my own kind of llama cake and cupcakes and thankfully she thought they turned out "adorable".

She invited both friends and family and unfortunately we didn't get pics of everyone but she had a great turn out.  Thanks to everyone that came! I'm sure she'll talk about this party for years to come!

Now we're counting down the days till her actual birthday on June 7th!

Mail Day

One of our neighbors from Illinois, Barb and Chuck are the absolute sweetest.  We only lived in Illinois for 9 months and 7 years later we still talk to them.  It's one of those relationships that is more like family than friends.

Barb knew Cambree was having a llama birthday party so she sent her a book she made herself. Cambree said "this is the best book ever!"  She loves it so much that she moved everything off her nightstand so the book could be on it by itself.

Here they are celebrating with us when Cambree turned 1! We sure love you both and miss you guys like crazy!  Thanks for all the love you've shown us through the years, you'll never know how much it means to us!

Memorial Day!

We spent our Memorial weekend in the mountains, up at Smith & Morehouse.  It is beautiful as always.  We were so thrilled when we found out our niece and her family bought a trailer!  FINALLY someone to go camping with!  Our kids have a lot of fun together so they kept each other pretty busy.  We were able to go on a hike, fish on the reservoir, play games, eat smores, and just hang out.  It was pretty amazing if you ask me!

Also we celebrated our 14th year anniversary!  We just went to a local diner for food.  My love for this man next to me is indescribable.  I didn't realize what marriage would be like but I'm thankful I chose him to live my life with and raise a family with.  I love our life, Happy Anniversary Benton!

We can't wait for our next camping trip in another 3 weeks!

Pre-school Graduate!

Addison graduated from her second year in preschool!  This Fall she will be in full day Kindergarten (we are the first county in Utah to have all day kindergarten!) and she can't wait!

It was so fun to see the kids sing songs and be on stage!  I loved catching Lincoln with his arm around his daddy, melts my heart.

We are so proud of her and can't wait to see her next adventure, KINDERGARTEN!

Addison's Ballet Recital

Addison started ballet in January and has been going weekly.  She has done really well with it, she's so shy with the other girls.  She goes in and dances and leaves without saying a word.  They got dance pictures but we were out of town, so I took my own of our little ballerina!

They've been preparing for her recital and I was a nervous wreck.  She is the leader in skipping around in a circle and at the rehearsal she accidentally lead her class off the stage at the beginning of the song.  Thankfully she did amazing during her performance, we couldn't be more proud!

My parents also came and surprised her with flowers, she was thrilled!

She's done for now since it's Summer break, so we'll see if she wants to sign up again this Fall!

Nibblets Hike

This summer we are going to try and hike weekly.  So we started the season off with a hike called the Nibblets Trail.  It was a short 2 mile hike, roundtrip. The kids did great and begged to go on another one right after!

We sure love exploring our beautiful state with each other!

SVR with the Lowe's

We were lucky enough to have my parents come join us at our cabin for a few days.  It was fun for us to show my dad all the work we've put into it.  He's the only one who saw it before we bought it and he knew what it looked like beforehand.  He loved all the new changes.

The kids had a lot of fun playing with their Grandparents.  We were able to relax and go on a little walk.  The kids had fun finding things along the way!  And Lincoln was happy to have his "best friend" with him (my dad, Papa Ken).

Benton and I also snuck away with Lincoln to fly fish for a bit, and of course Scout came along!

It was a quick trip but we had a great time together.  We can't wait for them to come back up with us again!
