Trick or Treat

A few weeks ago we went with my mom trick or treating at This is the Place.  It was good practice for the girls to say "Trick or Treat" well good practice for Cambree because Addie was too afraid.  She barley would grab a piece of candy without turning around to come back to me.

For Halloween Cambree is being a witch.  However this day she decided to wear one of her Princess costumes.  She loved wearing makeup, I'm afraid she'll start asking to a little too soon.

Addie is going to be a kitty cat for Halloween. I love her meow, it sounds more like "mow", it's adorable...but then again, she could do pretty much anything and I would think it was adorable.

The girls both love riding the horses.  Addie doesn't look like she's enjoying it but she's obsessed with horses, so this was a dream for her. I think they ended up riding them 3 different times.

Another highlight is the animals.  If you can pet them, both my girls will.  They both have NO FEAR...not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
It was a beautiful fall day spent outside.  I'm trying to savor this wonderful weather as much as I can before winter hits...which I know is right around the corner.

Addie's 2 year old check-up

Addie went to the doctor this past week for her two year old check up.

Her stats:
Weight: 21.1 pounds-in the 0% for her age
Length: 33 inches-in the 20% for her age
Head: 17.75inches-in the 5% for her age

She's still little but otherwise healthy. She didn't have to get shots but she did get the flu mist.

A little bit about Addie at two years old:
When you ask her how old she is, she says "tree" aka three.
She takes one nap everyday from 1:30-4pm. And she goes to bed between 7:30-8pm and sleeps till about 7-7:30am.
Her favorite food: cheese pizza and loves her chocolate milk and apple juice
Loves playing: At the park, loves going down the slide.

She understands everything you say to her but she's a still a bit hard to understand. She has her own language.

Words she says:
Instead of saying she says...
Daddy-"dada"
Mommy-"mamma"
Cambree-"dam dam"
Roxy-"sasa"
Stop-"sta"
Go-"dough"
Ouch-"owa"
Nanny-"nana"

She has a TON of personality. She's pretty stubborn and will tell you how she really feels, even if you don't understand one thing she is saying. She is silly and is always making us laugh. But at the same time she is a cuddle bug. She loves to lay on you when she drinks her milk and loves to snuggle and rock when she goes to bed. If Cambree climbs on me, Addie will attempt to push her off so she can hug me, she's a bit territorial.

She is the sweetest little thing and we love having her in our family.

Midway

We went on our last camping trip this year this past weekend. We thankfully got the last available spot at the campground. The weather was beautiful, sunny, in the low 70's, perfect fall weather.

Midway is one of my favorite places to camp because it's gorgeous and so convenient. We arrived on Friday afternoon and left Sunday morning. We kept busy the whole time.

We let the girls play at the park one day for a bit. Slides always bring smiles to their faces.

We went fishing in the Uinta's at Lost Lake. It was a bit chilly but nice to be outdoors. Addie was exhausted afterwards and fell right asleep.

The girls love to just play at our trailer. The find things to do; play hide and seek, sweep up the leaves, find rocks and play with Roxy.

And campfires and marshmallows are a must!

We had such a good time together. I finally feel like I am getting a hang of camping and am a bit more relaxed. I am so thankful we were able to buy our trailer and spend weekends away with each other.

Causey

Last weekend we joined our niece, Breanne, her husband, Chad and their little man, Ryan to their families cabin up in Causey. I have never been, it is absolutely beautiful. The leaves are changing, so everywhere you looked was gorgeous.

We were able to just relax. Benton had been out of town that week, so we were more than happy to have him back and to just snuggle up with him.

Cambree had a lot of fun exploring and finding rocks for her rock collection. She loves the outdoors and could just wander around if I let her.

I was able to take their family pictures while we were up there. Love this little family!

Afterwards we built a fire and made smokes!

The next morning when we woke up their was a family of moose just laying outside the cabin. You can see the dad, and mom were protecting their baby. It was a fun sight to see and the girls loved watching them. We mostly stayed inside because it was a rainy day and we didn't want to mess with the moose.

Thanks guys, we had such a fun weekend! We will come anytime you invite us, love you guys!

Dinosaur Museum

At least once a year we try to make it up to Ogden's Dinosaur Musuem. My girls love walking around finding all the dinosaurs. And they have a fun little park they love to play at as well. Such a perfect day to walk around looking at the dinosaurs!

My Beauty

We were just playing in our backyard and I shot this. She kills me with how photogenic she is. This is my new favorite picture!

State Fair

As our yearly tradition my family all made it to the State Fair. The kids love it, the women don't mind it and the men seem to hate it but still come anyways. Who knows how next year will play out, maybe the husbands will go off and do something they enjoy more. But I'm glad we were still able to drag them out of the house to get together and have some fun.

Night out

On Saturday morning, Cambree asked Benton if he had to go to work. When he told her "No." She screamed "YES!!!" It was one of those moments as a mom where my heart went pitter patter. It's adorable how much my girls love their daddy.

So when Cambree kept asking Benton to take her fishing and take her on a bike ride he couldn't say no. We ended up going to a pond by our house. It's funny how they love fishing but when we are actually fishing, they end up playing with rocks and flowers.

Sure do love weekends spent with our little family.

Summer's coming to an end

I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. It feels like I blinked and it was over. However I am excited for fall days, filled with nice weather, crisp air, the smell of leaves and spice, the girls playing in the leaves...sounds so nice right about now. Maybe I am more ready than I thought?

With our summer ending, school has started. Cambree started last week on September 2nd. She goes twice a week and we have her signed up for the afternoon class, so all morning long I get to hear her ask when she can go to school. When I picked her up after her first day, I asked her what she did and she replied "We just ate snacks, that's it!" And then she went on to tell me that she didn't want to come back home and she didn't miss me. The second time she went to preschool she told me she missed me a little bit but not a lot. Well I guess that's better than not at all. I'm just glad she loves it.

I now have 2.5 hours all to myself. I drop Cambree off and put Addie down for a nap. A couple hours of peace and quiet for me, it's weird but I am getting use to it. I'm sure Cambree will have a lot more interesting things happen in school, I will keep you all updated!
