Midway

We went up to Midway this past weekend to go camping. Now this was my type of camping, water hook up's, showers, bathroom's, power, a/c, restaurants and grocery stores at our convince. I was such a happy camper!

Cambree seriously was so excited to go camping. She kept saying "BEST DAY EVER!" She however had her moments....

The girls love playing together, they are a bit wild but they make me smile.

We went to the park and let the kids run around. Cambree found some beautiful sunflowers to pick.

Later that night we went and got some yummy shakes. They were so delicious.

The next morning we woke up and went fishing to a small lake. I was the only one who caught a fish and it was too small to keep. But the girls enjoyed playing with the rocks and attempting to catch a fish.

Later on we met my parents and all rode the Heber Creeper railroad.

I hope our girls have great memories growing up going camping as a family. I know we've already made some great ones!

Liberty Park

We drove down to Salt Lake to enjoy the overcast day and play outside. Liberty Park has a man made stream where kids can play and run around in. My kids were climbing up the waterfalls until we found out that it wasn't allowed. But they had fun splashing in the water and playing with their cousins.

They of course had to play at the park and swing for a bit!

Oh how I love summer days!

Splish Splash

On Monday we spent the day at the Kaysville splash pad with some friends. It was so fun catching up with my friend Liz and her three girls. Love summer days where the kids can play outside and I can chat with my friends in the shade.

Later on that night, after Addie had already been cleaned up, we decided to play outside. Well the pool was still up from that afternoon and she of course jumped in with her clothes on...oh well...you only live once, right? The girls thought it was hilarious and so we just let them play.

I'm sad summer's coming to a close, it went by so fast!

Silver Lake

It's my families tradition to make it up to Brighton once a year to walk around Silver Lake. This year did not disappoint.

Addie was interested in everything and had her finger pointing the whole time. "Mama, mama, MOM!!!"

And such a beautiful sight, we saw a moose.

I love being able to drive an hour away and see such beauty. Utah really is such a pretty state.

Currant Creek

The drive was about 3 hours long and Utah does not disappoint, it was a beautiful drive.

We had a cute little spot and like our drive up it was a beautiful campsite.

We spent a lot of our time at the reservoir fishing. We didn't catch anything till the morning we left. Benton woke up early and went down to the lake and caught 3 fish, one got away. I was shocked when he came back with an 18 inch tiger trout!

And of course we couldn't go camping without making smores!

Nights were interesting. The first night, we decided to see if the girls would sleep next to each other. Well it was cute at first, until Addie kept climbing up and down out of bed. Eventually she ended up sleeping in our bed by herself. Which left me on the couch and Benton next to Cambree. The next night was a little better, Benton slept with Addie and I slept next to Cambree. Hopefully next year Addie will be ready to sleep next to Cambree.

The girls loved it and we can't wait to go camping in a couple weeks!

Swim Obsessed

Since Cambree has been in swim lessons she wanted to show off her skills to her cousins. Too bad our pool is a little too small for her to actually show off her new tricks. But she couldn't care less, I'm glad she loves to swim!

Swim Lessons

Cambree has been in swim lessons for a week now and will continue with them this week. The class is Mon-Thurs 11-11:40am. It's been fun getting out of the house each morning and watching her in the pool. Sadly the weather hasn't been that great. It rained everyday last week except for the first day which ended up getting done early because a child had an accident in the pool. Hopefully the weather will cooperate better this week!

Cambree thankfully isn't afraid of the water, well besides sticking her face in it. She likes to kick, put on the noodle and swim, and is learning to float on her back. Her teacher said she's doing a great job!

Addie also has enjoyed watching her swim in the pool. Next year it will be her turn to join Cambree!
