Wheeler Farm

We decided to meet up with my mom who just got back in town yesterday. She had the perfect idea, Wheeler Farm. We thought it was going to be warmer than it was but it was still enjoyable despite the cold weather.

The moment my mom took the bread out for the ducks, they swarmed both her and Cambree. It was ridiculous how many ducks there were. They were pretty greedy and would try to get it from them before they could rip it into pieces. Cambree kept yelling at them "Get out of my face!"

As you can tell she quite enjoyed herself and also enjoyed the bread!

Addie just sat and stared.

Afterwards we walked around to see the other animals. This little guy was too cute sitting in his bin of food.

Cambree loved the goats.

And playing on the tractor.

Addie was as sweet as always!

I love it when I have no plans for the day and end up doing something fun!

A little mail...

My dear friend from Illinois, Barb sent us a surprise package in the mail. It was so sweet and thoughtful!

Barb and I met by chance. She lived two doors down from us in Illinois. She had sent a letter to our house but it was addressed to someone else. When I realized it was sent from two doors down, I decided to walk over and introduce ourselves to let them know we received the letter and the addressee must have moved. Thankfully that letter was sent to our house because a beautiful friendship has blossomed over the years.

I was apart of a mom's group in Illinois and met some cute girls but none of my friendships compared to Barb's. I am so lucky to have met such a sweet spirited person by chance. She has given me so much wisdom, encouragement and hope these past two years. I feel so blessed to know her.

Benton went back to Illinois a month ago and was able to visit with Barb and her husband Chuck. Benton said he didn't know two nicer people. I agree completely. Next time Benton goes back for work, the girls and I are going to join him so we can visit with Barb and Chuck. I can't wait!

Here's a picture of us before we moved away. Cambree was only 1 years old at the time.

These are the books we received. I LOVE them all. I especially was fond of the book "My Book about Me" because I had the same book growing up and I was giddy looking through my book and excited for Cambree to have the same one. Benton just stared at me because I was so excited. So it was the perfect gift!

Thanks Barb & Chuck! Much love to you both!

My 7 month old

Miss Addison is 7 months old! You can see her little personality shine through her now. I took her in for a weight check because she's fallen off her curve a little bit and she weighed 11 pounds 15 ounces. They advised me to mix formula in with her baby food. I would have never thought of doing that, but I gave it a try this afternoon and it didn't seem to bother her. This past week she has started scooting as in almost crawling. I couldn't believe it when I saw her doing that because she just started rolling this past month. Watching her grow and move from each stage delights me so very much. I love this age and wish she could stay a baby forever because she's so content and so much fun.

Cambree still is pretty good with Addie. She sometimes says "SHhhhhh...you're too loud Addie." Normally it's because Cambree's watching a show. Addie enjoys talking gibberish which Cambree isn't too fond of. But it's really cute to watch them interact because Addie will light up, smile and laugh when Cambree talks to her.

We've switched her to her highchair instead of her Bumbo because she was getting a little too big for it and she was trying to push herself out of it. I think she likes the highchair better because she can see all the action.

Banana's are her favorite type of baby food to eat. She still makes faces when she eats carrots or apples.

Drinking water from my cup or a sippy cup is wonderful to her. She guzzles it right down and opens her mouth for it as soon as she sees it. As you can see the cup is almost as big as her head.

She's finally on a schedule. She takes about a 2 hour nap in the morning and then another 2 hour nap in the afternoon. And she generally is in bed by 7:30 for the night. She still wakes up a couple times to eat but I don't mind snuggling with her for a little bit. It's nice to have our own uninterrupted time together. I love watching her sleep. She snores and it's adorable.

She normally talks when she wakes up and once you walk into the room she's all smiles.

We love her so very much.

Egg Obsessed

I've mentioned this before on my blog, but here we go again. I'm talking about Cambree's obsession with eggs. She cannot get enough of them, not eating them but looking, holding and talking about them. She thinks they are adorable.

We made brownies the other day and once she sees there's an egg involved she's as happy as can be. She sits there holding onto her precious egg. She talks to it, kisses it and she told me "I need to keep it warm." So that's what she's doing in this picture, taking care of her egg.

She's so excited for Easter because of course eggs are involved!

Shopping isn't what it use to be...

I decided to meet my sister last minute at the Gateway yesterday. It started off great...

Cambree was ever so stylish in her new sunglasses.

Addie was content in her stroller...

Then we went to Old Navy and it went downhill. Let's just say I needed a time out because I had lost my patience. Cambree had a couple of bouncy balls that went flying when she fell and I went to catch them and ended up hitting Addie in the face on a sign. Not the best mommy moment. Chelsie came out of the dressing room with both of my kids crying. We were done.

So to make up for the disaster at Old Navy we let the kids play in the water for a little while. I was able to calm down and recharge and so were they.

Spring is around the corner...

Today was a beautiful 58 degrees and my girls were loving it. I think they're ready to play outside in the sun. Unfortunately it looks like its going to rain & possibly snow these upcoming days, so they will have to wait a little bit longer.

Cambree put on a spring dress and was dancing around with her baby doll. She also put a bunch of hair clips in her hair. She said she looked so pretty, I agree!

And little Addie was able to wear a short sleeved onesie today to show off her baby rolls. Love her dimples in her arms, too adorable.

We're ready for Spring, how about you?

A little jealous...

If I ever take pictures of Addie, you can bet Cambree will be right there next to me doing whatever she can to get my attention.

So of course after I took a picture of Addie, it was Cambree's turn. She even stole her headband and put it on herself, but I bet you probably guessed that.

I guess we're at that stage where I have to pay attention to them both equally or Cambree will let me know!
