Too Cute!

Cambree just started to actually smile at us, not the gassy smiles, the real ones and we LOVE it!

Harder than I remember...

Today was the first day post pregnancy that I was able to work out. I went to the Dr. on Friday and she said I was good to go. I cannot believe how out of shape I am! It's horrible, by the end I was seriously thinking I was going to pass out, I was seeing stars and everything. I know it gets easier as it goes, since I've had ups and downs with exercising, but boy today was hard! I just had to keep thinking as I was running, it'll be worth it...you need to be healthy, especially now that your a mom. I really have missed exercising, so I'll attempt the treadmill again tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Just Hanging Out!

It's been so nice being off of work~ I have 7 weeks left of staying home full time. After that I am going back to work as a 20 hour employee, which won't be too bad. I love that I had a summer baby because it's so nice getting out and not worrying about the swine flu or colds, because if she was a winter baby we'd be stuck inside...I'm a germaphob (not really a word but I hate germs and am really paranoid)! Here is what we've been up to...
Trying new outfits on, girls are so fun to dress up!

Going Private!

With the new addition to our family, we've decided to make our blog private! We talked about it while I was pregnant and decided it was the right choice for us. So please post a comment if you want to have access to our blog with your email address, so I can make sure I add you to our list. I am going to leave our blog unblocked for 2 weeks, so make sure you leave your name & email! Thanks guys!

Life as a mommy...

It's been 2.5 weeks since our darling Cambree was born, how time goes by so quickly! Being a mommy is a lot of hard work. I finally understand so many things I've heard about being a new mommy. I love being a mommy and wouldn't trade it for anything. So far everything has gone rather smoothly. Benton and I say almost everyday how lucky we are to have such a good baby. She very rarely cries during the day, she's our little angel. But for some reason she struggles sleeping in her bassinet at night. I put her to bed and she cries and cries, the moment I pick her up and hold her close to my chest she falls asleep, I put her down and she cries again, I don't get it? Any suggestions?

I have so many fun photos of Cambree meeting family members and experiencing new things, so enjoy all the pics!

Announcing...

Little miss Cambree Kendall, was born on June 7th at 5:20pm. She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is absolutely perfect, we couldn't be happier. What a great experience it was for us. I'm telling you, pregnancy was wonderful and my labor and delivery was great as well. We ended up getting induced on Monday morning at 7am, since my doctor was going to be out of town on our due date. My doctor broke my water and started pitocin at 9am and I got contractions around 9:15. I really didn't know what to expect, but it was much better than I anticipated. By about 12:30 my contractions were pretty bad, so I requested to get my epidural. I was dilated to a 4 before I received the epidural. Once I received the epidural, I was so much happier. I wasn't nervous to get my epidural because I knew once it was in me the pain would stop and boy was I right. 30 minutes after my epidural I was dilated to a 6, so everything was moving right along. My nurse wanted me to crown before my Doctor got to the hospital so I started pushing around 4:20 and it was a lot easier than I expected. Once my doctor got in the room she checked me out and I started having a contraction, so she had me push and that's when Cambree entered the world. I pushed twice total and there she was. They hadn't anticipated that I would go that fast, so everyone was running around. They checked her out and she was perfect. My delivery was awesome, I guess I was just meant to have babies. We are so in love with our sweet girl, it's hard not to just sit and stare at her all day long, we are totally in love. Enjoy some photos of our new addition.

Before & After

We finally finished our basement and we couldn't be happier! When we moved into our house, only our family room was finished in our basement. Once we found out we were pregnant, we decided it's now or probably never. We ended up widening our existing family room by 6 feet, which made a huge difference. It's so nice having so much room. Here are some pics of before our remodel/finish....
