Ringing in the New Year!

We are pretty boring for New Years, but our kids don't really udnerstnad the holiday yet so I guess it doesn't really matter. We just hung around, ate and watched movies. The kids decided to play in the snow and build a snowman. I loved looking out the window and finding out they made Benton and I as snowmans. Pretty creative, my favorite is my little ponytail on the top of my head!

Also we gave Lincoln a fresh new haircut. Well benton cut it and I held him. He looks pretty dang cute!

Happy New Years, we can't wait to see what 2018 brings!

Welcome to the Family!

On the 27th, Kattie's doctors induced her into labor. She has 4 boys already and is having a girl! Thankfully I was in the area so I drove over with my kids and helped watch the boys while they went to the hospital. We ended up coming back the next day and slept over with all the crazies. My girls were excited to have a sleepover with their cousins. And I'm so glad we live so close by that we could help!

She finally arrived on the 28th! Welcome to the family Everly Kate, we love you already!

Merry Christmas!

We woke up at 7am and ran out and opened presents!
Cambree asked Santa for a large Beenie Boo Unicorn and she was thrilled to get it!

Addison wanted baby Hatchimals and she couldn't wait to open them up and find out what ones she got!

And Lincoln begged for a new fishing pole. He's still obsessed, carries them everywhere.

The rest of the day we relaxed, took naps and visited with my parents when they dropped by. I know these are the Christmas' I will cherish most! Christmas really is magical.

Christmas Eve!

We were lucky enough to celebrate Christmas Eve with the Earl Family (Benton's sister) who just moved back home from Iowa! Also Papa David and Grandma Marie! We basiclaly had another Thanksgiving feast. It was fun to be together for the holidays! Sadly I didn't get a picture of Papa and Grandma, I slacked off in the picture department but we had a great afternoon being with one another!

Lowes Christmas Party

Before the party I took the girls pictures because they looked so pretty! They love a reason to dress up!

We celebrated Christmas early with my family this year. It was a perfect night filled with food, snuggling, and presents. Sure love this family of mine!

Also last year Cambree found this Christmas book decoration with a nativity inside. She asked my mom why nothing was actually written in it? My mom told her she could write something in it if she liked. So Cambree wrote this in it. It's pretty sweet, especially since we don't go to church so she gets information here and there. Love this decoration even more this year.

Breakfast around here...

My kids love to eat food. However they don't eat traditional breakfast food. Addison constantly asks for pb sandwiches with chips or chicken nuggets for breakfast. Lincoln loves to eat mac n' cheese as well for breakfast. I finally gave in and decided they just like what they like and some people don't like breakfast foods and thats fine with me. So if they ask for mac n' cheese, they get it!

Temple Square

Our yearly tradition of seeing the lights at Temple Square has come and gone. This time of year always flies by so quickly! Benton ended up getting a horrible migraine so he didn't join us but we were lucky to have my parents with us. We met up and got some dinner and walked around and saw the beautiful lights. I sure do love this time of year!

Happy Birthday Benton!

Benton turned 35 on the 9th of December! We couldn't be more lucky to have him in our lives. He is the best, husband and father. He doesn't like to celebrate birthdays, never has but I have to because he is very loved and needs a day dedicated to him. He deserves all the best life can give him. Love you Benton!

Bridal Veil Falls

This last week Benton was able to go on his annual fly fishing trip with his friend, Mike. The kids and I stuck around home and kept busy. On Saturday morning they were making one mess after another, so I bundled everyone up and we headed to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. The sun hadn't hit that part of the canyon yet, so it was pretty cold but it was nice to be active instead of sitting at home.

It was just what we all needed. The kids had fun running around and I enjoyed the fresh air. Afterwards I ended up taking them to the pool to get some more energy out. Thankfully Benton made it home around 6:30 and he had a great time fishing. We were all so very happy to see him walk through the door!

Happy Halloween!

They have been looking forward to Halloween ALL YEAR LONG! Next to Christmas this is their favorite holiday. Wearing outfits and getting candy is the best thing ever.

Addison had preschool and she was so excited to get all dressed up and play with her school friends!

Cambree also had school. They did a parade which was so fun to see all the kids costumes. I didn't bring my camera but she looked darling with all her friends.

After school we ate pizza and then headed out!

They looked adorable and got tons of compliments! I found the girls costumes at Pottery Barn Kids on the clearance rack and I was thrilled. $20 bucks a costume was a steal! They got a lot of candy and stayed up late trick or treating. It was a great day, and now we only have 374 days to count down till next year!
