The sun finally came out this weekend and we all were ready to get outside and play in it. We set up the pool and sat outside for about four hours and let the girls just play. We are more than ready for sunshine and summer.
It was perfect.

Race for Grief 2015
Last Monday on Memorial Day we headed out to participate in the Race for Grief for Miss Allie. Since I had just had Lincoln and Benton had surgery, we decided to do the 2 mile walk instead of running. It was so relaxing to walk with our friends and family, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I love to run but this year it was so nice to not care how fast I ran but rather just enjoy ourselves.
My mom and Chelsie made this poster for Allie.
The morning started off with rain and once the race started the sun came out. It was pretty neat because I can relate the weather on that day to grief. We have our gloomy days where it just feels so dark and sad but eventually the grief and depression lightens up and we start to feel warmth again. The sadness never goes away but it isn's always so dark either.
I love our little family and that we can remember Allie in such a sweet way. I am so thankful for the woman who puts the race together for everyone because it is so special to us.
And I love all those who came and supported us. It warms my heart knowing she is not forgotten.
After the walk our family went and got donuts and visited her at her grave. I wish all the cemeteries look like they do on Memorial Day, so beautiful with flowers covering each grave. It just looked so beautiful.
Love and miss you baby girl. xoxox

Odds & ends of May
This past month has been full of rain. I swear, its rained almost every single day. I usually don't mind a bit of rain, but I'm getting sick of it because then we are all stuck in the house.
On one of the few days that it wasn't raining, I bought the girls new Nike shoes and they were both so extremely happy. As soon as they got them on they had to have a race in our driveway. They seriously look too cute wearing their little Nike's.
Lincoln could only have sponge baths until his umbilical cord fell out. He didn't like the sponge baths much, he cried the whole time, poor guy!
However once we were able to give him an actual bath, he just sat there as happy as a clam. Didn't cry or anything, he actually loved it. When our girls were babies they didn't really enjoy the bath until they were older, so it's funny to see how different they are.
We've had a ton of time to love on our new baby. Unfortunately the girls have coughs right now, so they can't be near him but they've had plenty of snuggles this past month.
This past week Cambree graduated from preschool. She had such a fun year with her class. She can't wait to start Kindergarten. It might be a long summer because she's so excited to go to school this fall. Hopefully she won't ask too much about it because 3 months is a lifetime for an almost five year old. At her preschool graduation her teacher talked about each child and what they want to be when they grow up. Some of the responses were "Scientist, Palentologist, Doctor. Cambree's response "A dancing girl." Sure did make me laugh. Their program was pretty dang cute, I'm glad we were all able to make it and go together. Loved all their songs they sang and seeing their proud, smiling faces.
Hopefully since June is right around the corner we will be able to get out of our house and do some fun things, stay tuned!

Bowling!
This past Wednesday my mother and I took my girls bowling. We literally haven't left my house in three weeks since Lincoln was born. We NEEDED to get out and do something fun.
Cambree's been asking to go bowling for sometime now and it was the perfect day to go.
I loved watching Addie's facial expressions since she was so excited the whole time. A little nervous at first but caught on quickly. She is like a little monkey and will swing on anything that she can, so obviously she had to swing on the bowling ball assistance thing-a-ma-gig (not sure what they are called).
Lincoln was a sweet babe and slept the whole entire time. I seriously love my wrap, its so convenient to stick him in and go.
Both girls really enjoyed it, I'm sure we will be back soon!

Our newest family member
And just like that he is two weeks old tomorrow. We had his 2 week old appointment yesterday and he was at his birth weight exactly, 9 pounds 5 ounces. As Cambree would say "Such a little chub."
I would have to say the transition from having Cambree to Addie was much easier than having the girls with Lincoln. It sure is exhausting, worth it though. The girls are so in love with him. They still want turns holding him. They kiss his head every time they see him. He sleeps mostly all day long, he struggles more with sleeping at night. He has a hard time falling back to sleep once he wakes up to nurse. I will be sleep training him shortly.
As of right now, I just love cuddling and snuggling him all day long. Here's a bunch of pictures I've taken of him since we've been home.

and later on we went and visited Miss Allie for the first time since Lincoln joined our family.
See what I mean...I'm a bit excessive with the picture taking...but boy is he a doll baby.
