Merry Christmas!

This year was the first year that Cambree somewhat understood what Christmas really was about. I loved seeing the look on her face when she opened her presents.

 

Cambree was spoiled by us and Santa!

 

I love this sleeping bag we got her, Addison also got one but in purple. I think it will be fun for them in the years to come.

 

My good friend Barb made both the girls bunny slippers, I think they are so dang cute! There was love stitched into them both.

All in all it was a good Christmas. I had a pretty hard couple of days but I tried to make the best of it for the girls. We were able to drive up and visit with Allie after opening presents and eating breakfast. How I wished she was here celebrating with us instead.

 

Afterwards we were able to spend the rest of the day at home playing with the girls. We had a few visitors but luckily we were able to stay home and relax.

Christmas Eve!

Every year for Christmas Eve we go over to Benton's moms house for breakfast. I love spending the morning with his family eating and visiting.

We all ate a lot of food, even Addie who fell asleep while eating.

 

Benton and I are both so grateful that Addison and Allie could join our family this year. This time of year has been especially hard, we miss Allie. Thankfully we can snuggle her twin.

 

 

That night we went over to my parents house for dinner. My aunt's, uncle and cousins were able to join our family for dinner.

I told Cambree to make a pretty face for the camera and this is what I got, not exactly what I was thinking.

Cambree's new thing is getting ready while I do. She wants to look pretty. I foresee Cambree being a real girly girl since she's starting so young.

Meeting Mr. Claus

Cambree has been asking to go see Santa for about a week now. We were finally able to take her last night.

While we were waiting in line she kept asking us to show her Santa, she could hardly hold in her excitement!

 

But once she sat on his lap she wouldn't look at him in the eyes. She didn't cry and wasn't too frightened, she just became shy.

 

On the way to see him we asked her what she wanted for Christmas. Her reply "I want a pony." Benton and I just laughed because she's never talked about wanting a pony before that moment.

 

Next year Addie will be able to sit on his lap with Cambree and Santa. I think it's going to be a new family tradition. But maybe try and find a Santa that isn't meeting children at the mall. Where do you go?

4 Months Old!

Addie is the sweetest baby. Books would refer to her as an angel baby because she is so easy. She rarely cries, if she does it's because she's hungry. She's such a good eater, she still eats about every 3 hours. And I put her to bed awake to go to sleep for the night around 7pm and she only wakes up once. The strangest thing to me is she has never used a pacifier. Cambree had one until she was almost 2 years old, so it's weird that Addie can just soothe herself without anything. Like I said, she's the easiest baby.

 

She started giggling about 3 weeks ago. It is the cutest little laugh. She is a pleasure to be around, she just smiles at you all the time. Even when you are changing her diaper she sits there and coo's at you.

 

We went to her 4 month doctor appointment this morning and Addie is doing great. She's still small for her age but that's what to be expected from her being 5 weeks early. She's on-track and doing really well.

Our whole family just adores her and we are thankful everyday she is here with us and is a healthy little girl. Love you sweet baby girl.
