Baby Animal Days!

My dear friend, Steph invited Cambree and I to join her and her kids to Baby Animal Days in Logan. I've never been and thought it would be something Cambree would really enjoy. Also, I love getting out of the house and doing something different. It wasn't too cold nor too hot, it was the perfect sunny day to go. I must say Logan is a really pretty city, it seems like we are farther away from our homes than we really are. Just seem so open and country like.

Us two, we've been friends since we were 14 years old...so more than half our lives. Gees, we're getting old if we can say that! The oldest friends I would say are your best friends, you know they will always be there for you. I am so thankful for our friendship.

Anyways, moving on to Baby Animal Days. I loved that you could go in their pens and pet them. I was actually surprised when Steph said we could go in, even better!

The baby ducks were very sweet and cuddly...

Grace was so helpful, she guided Cambree where to go. I just love it when little kids hold hands, so cute!

Cambree loved the goats, she just had to give them a little hug...

Have you ever seen a peacock with all it's feathers fanned out? It's quite a sight to see, very beautiful.

We all went on a ride on the train or in Cambree's words "The Choo Choo". Cambree is obsessed with trains, she just loves them. She was so cute sitting with her hands on her lap while riding the train. She kept saying "Here we GO!"

And of course a couple pictures in front of this old barn, it's getting really hard for Cambree and I to get a picture together. She doesn't like to look at the camera anymore, it's so sad.

I love that she's a snuggler...

It was time to leave once the kids starting crying because they were starving, gotta love such a sad face though!

If you haven't been, I would say you must try it next year. I know we will be there, me and my 3 kids!

Bye Bye Binky!

One week ago today, we got rid of Cambree's binky. I don't want her using one when the twins are born, so we thought it would be best to get rid of it sooner than later. I have been dreading this day for 22 months. It really is so nice for her to have something that can soothe her so well. And it's been really nice and easy for me when she cries to just say "Stick your binky in your mouth" and have her stop crying.

I decided to cut the tip of two of her binky's. I think I cut too much off though, because she could barley put them in her mouth.

This is how our conversation went:
Cambree found one of her binky's and stuck it in her mouth, which of course no longer worked. She lowered her eyebrows, you could tell she was totally confused.

"Oh no!" she said.
"I think your binky is broken, Cambree." I replied.

"Oh NO!" She said and grabbed me by my fingers pulling me to the kitchen. She asked me to lift her up to the kitchen sink, and she grabbed a paper towel. I gave it to her and she tried rubbing her binky on the paper towel.

"All better?" she said?
"Stick in your mouth and see." I replied.
"Oh no!" You could see the wheels turning in her head. She runs for her bedroom, and sees her other binky in her crib. I lifted her inside, she stuck the other binky in her mouth..."Oh no, broken?!" she responded.

I lifted her out of her crib, which she then proceeded to get on her hands and knees to look under her crib for more binky's. Thankfully I thought to look under her crib for binky's that might have gone overboard while she slept.

All Monday, she looked at them, stuck them in her mouth and was confused as to what happened to them. At nap time she cried for one hour straight before she fell asleep. And when I say she cried, she balled her eyes out, kicking her crib and throwing things out of her crib. That night she only cried for 30 minutes before she fell asleep. She was so upset she'd throw everything out of her crib, even her blankies.

Other than that she's been pretty good. There definitely has been times when she's wanted it as well as myself. I am not giving in and turning back. Bye bye binky!

I'm so glad it's gone for good, it feels like we have a big girl now instead of a baby. Mommy is so proud of Cambree!

Pregnancy Update

Last night Benton & I went to our 17 week appointment. Our first item of business was to verify that there actually is still twins in my belly. Good news, there still is! We are still wrapping our heads around our BIG news.

The babies are weighing what they should. One baby is weighing one day ahead of the other, very close in size. Our doctor could see the lining separating the sacs, which was really thin. This makes her believe they are going to be identical twins, but we won't really know until they are born.

Baby #1, you can see the head facing up and HER cute little belly...

Baby #2, you can see the back of IT'S head and spine...

Our doctor is pretty sure the first one is a girl, but had a hard time seeing what the second one is. Our daughter is squishing the other baby, so it was hard to get a good glimpse of the gender. But she's guessing that it is a girl since she thinks they are identical. So now we get to wait another 4 weeks to find out for sure! Man, these next 4 weeks are going to go by so slowly!

My pregnancy so far...
-I have had REALLY bad heart burn but otherwise have felt great.
-I still haven't gained any weight since my first appointment at 7 weeks. I've actually lost 3 lbs. -I have had really bad nausea.
-I threw up for the first time, exactly at 17 weeks. *Reminder* Don't pack Benton's lunch in the morning, it doesn't sit well with the babes!
-I started feeling the babies flutter at 12 weeks.
-I now at 17 weeks can feel movement instead of flutters. I am sad that this will be my last pregnancy, I love carrying around little babies.

Yes, I am showing at 14 Weeks Pregnant...

New Purchase!

The Carnahan's are proud new owners of a van. I never realized until we bought it just how much I wanted and loved vans! We sold our truck since it wouldn't be very convenient with twins & Miss Cambree.

It's a 2011 Honda Odyssey

Some of my favorite features are:

The sliding doors on each side, you can press this button from the inside to open/close the doors. Also, we can open our doors from our key, such a nice feature!

Leather was a MUST with having 3 small kids...

So much trunk space, I'm sure it will go fast once we put in a double stroller and all the other accessories we will have...

The biggest selling feature was that in the Odyssey's in 2011 they changed the body style so 3 car seats all with the latch system can fit in the 2nd row. We can also fit 3 more in the 3rd row, even though we are done having kids after the twins.

DVD player...

Rear air conditioning, which we've never had in any vehicle we've owned before. Now I don't have to worry about the kiddos sweating to death in the back seat!

And of course, it can't hurt to have a cooler built into your auto!

So now we are seat car wise for the twins to come. Who knew there was so much planning to add 2 sweet new additions to your family?
