Picture time!

On Friday I went down to Pictureline and bought the camera Benton suggested for me as my birthday present. I was so excited to buy it. The salesman was nice enough to set it up for me so I didn't have to! So I have been busy taking pictures this weeekend. I still have a lot to learn and tons of practicing. But I am excited for the challenge. I bought a Cannon Rebel T3i, and it's amazing! I'm able to catch moments a lot faster with this camera compared to my point and shoot.

So this is what we've been up to! Every morning Cambree must have a bowl of cereal. It use to be pancakes and bananas but not anymore! Cambree and her daddy feel the same about cereal. They LOVE it.

Once her cereal's gone she loves to drink all the milk from the bowl...

 

One of Cambree's favorite things to do is color. It doesn't matter if it's with a pen or crayons. She loves to draw. I love how concentrated she is, such hard work.

Cambree loves to play on the computer. It looks like she's really interested even though the computers off.

 

 

 

She was so excited for bath time that she jumped in before I could take off her diaper!

 

Afterwards she threw a fit, I can't remember why? But her face is pretty cute!

 

I LOVE my new camera. I'm so excited to be more experienced with it!

President's Day

I always love a 3 day weekend, any excuse for Benton to be home with us longer is wonderful to me. Yesterday we mostly hung around our house. Cambree had a big accomplishment, she actually peed in the potty. I was pretty excited, she was as well!

Last night we had plans with our friends Kyle and Katy Arnell. I didn't find anyone to watch Cambree, and I was pretty stressed about it. Chelsie was out of town and I didn't have anyone else to ask to watch Cambree. I'm unsure if babysitters watch kids on a school night, so I didn't want to ask one of our neighbors not knowing the rules. So we decided just to take her out with us, me crossing my fingers she would be on her best behavior. And to my surprise she was an absolute ANGEL! I was shocked.

We started the night at 5pm by going to Z'Tejas at the Gateway. I love their mushroom enchiladas, so delicious! Cambree sat at the table with us and colored away. She was in a lovey mood and kept giving me kisses throughout dinner.

 

The Jazz Game started at 7pm. This I was nervous about since her bedtime is at 7:30. She LOVED all of the people, music and flashing lights. She was concerned when the music stopped. She pretty much danced and laughed the whole game.

I had to get my favorite, Mint Chocolate Chip Ice-cream. Unfortunately Cambree didn't want to share with mommy. She was one happy girl.

 

 

We got home at 10pm and she hadn't thrown a fit the whole night. Who knew she could be so perfect? Kyle & Katy were as surprised as we were. It was such a perfect night. Hope your President's Day was as much fun as ours was!

Only 1 Year Left!

This past weekend I turned 29 years old. I cannot believe I only have 1 year left of my twenties. I have to say this was one of my favorite birthday's ever.

Benton and I were able to go out on a date. We ate dinner at the Pizza Factory and we went and saw The Vow. Benton wrote me the sweetest letter, it brought tears to my eyes. That is my favorite part about my birthday each year. I pretty much make him write me a love letter once a year and he does not let me down. He also surprised me with a new camera. I've been asking for a nice camera for years and he told me I could choose out the camera that I wanted. I want a nice DSLR camera. I've done some researching, I just can't decide. Too many choices. Love is in the air!

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days of the year. I think it's a great day to celebrate with the one you love. It's easy for me to sometimes forget to tell Benton how much I love him, so I'm glad their is a yearly reminder for me to give him a card telling him why I love him so very much. And yes, every year I expect a card from him as well.

This year he sent me beautiful flowers. I was on my way out the door and was surprised to see a delivery for me. I LOVE getting flowers and usually I get them once a year on Valentine's Day. So it was the perfect way to start my day, thanks Bent!

 

I drove up to Ogden to the Treehouse Museum to meet my cute sister in law Aimee. Cambree and I had never been so we were excited to join up with them.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned before how much Cambree LOVES baby dolls. Well if not, let me tell you once she found the section with the babies she wasn't letting this one out of her site. She said "Awww..." over and over.

And of course she took her along with us to other displays!

 

Her 2 cousins who were with us also loved the baby section. They look pretty serious weighing their new baby :)

 

We had a fun day and it's not even over yet. Hope your Valentine's was as good as ours! Happy Valentine's Day friends!

Diagnosis

After not hearing from my doctor, I decided to just drop by. I had my episode on December 28th, went to my Neurologist on January 18th, and the next week on the 25th I got an echocardiogram. I hate waiting for results.

So what really happened to me on the 28th? I had a TIA (transient ischemic attack). It is not the same thing as a mini stroke. A stroke no matter what size leaves proof of a stroke on an MRI, which was clear for me. A TIA resolves by itself. They mimic each other because the side effects are the same. So thankfully it wasn't a stroke.

Now, why did I have a TIA? I found out today I have a small hole in my heart. The doctor said about 20% of people have holes in their hearts that they never know about. I wasn't too surprised since my family has heart problems, it is a birth defect. When you have a TIA, you have a loss of blood flow to an area of the brain. Which in my case was caused by a blood clot which traveled to my brain from my heart causing the loss of blood flow.

Where to go from here? Well I have to schedule an appointment to get a TEE (Transesophageal echocardiogram). Which means they have to put a probe down my throat to get a view at how big or small the hole in my heart is. If the hole is small, they just leave it alone. But if it's big they have to go in and fix it.

At least I have some answers to why it happened to me. Hopefully the hole will be small. I'll keep you all updated when I know more information!

Go Potty?

Lately Cambree has been asking me to go potty. It's crazy to me to think at almost 20 months old that she's already asking me to take her to go to the bathroom. It's pretty dang cute, well for now because we aren't really potty training yet.

She still hasn't gone in the potty...she just likes to sit on it for now.

 

 

I think this summer we will be potty training!
