Not much happening here at the Carnahan Residence, but thought I'd post some random pictures that I like!
Cambree was sick with a temperature again this past week, so frustrating. I figured out she's had a temperature every single month this year except April. I'm keeping track now and hopefully I can figure out why it's happening so often. One night I had gotten up with her multiple times and she woke up again about 5am so Benton decided to go get her and let me sleep. Well at 8am when I woke up I found them asleep in the family room with the tv on. SO precious.
Once Cambree felt better I was dying to get outside! We went on a 4 mile walk on Constitution Trail, it was so nice to be outside again. I love how shaded and green it is.
So comfy, she loves to sit like this in her stroller. I think it's pretty dang cute!
I painted my toenails the other day and Cambree keeps admiring them, so I thought I'd paint her toenails. Oh and I love how she crosses her legs when she sits. It reminds me of when I got my ultra sound to find out what gender of baby she was but they couldn't tell because she had her legs crossed, pretty lady like.
For some reason she loves her swing. I hadn't put her in it for a long time since she has gotten bigger but I LOVE that she loves it. It's nice to be able to walk away and do something and not worry what she's into. And she really enjoys it, which is kinda funny. One day I stuck her in her swing and I came back to this...
so tired!
She stands for longer periods of time now. She's taken about 5 steps in a row but that's about all for right now. Such a big girl!
And of course I had to post this picture because it is so darn cute. Love them both!

Chicago!
On Sunday we ended up driving and staying the night in Chicago. You're probably thinking, again? Yes, we did it again! There are so many sites we still haven't seen yet, so we thought why not?
Our first stop was at Millennium Park. There is a sculpture called the Cloud Gate, everyone in Chicago calls it "The Bean". The sculpture's surface reflects and distorts the city's skyline. Inspired by liquid mercury, it is among the largest of its kind in the world, measuring 66-feet long by 33-feet high.
Next we ended up walking up and down Magnificent Mile, it's a mile long of stores, you name it they have it. It was seriously hot! We had sweat just dripping off of us, I know pretty gross. The humidity just makes you feel so sticky, not very much fun. So we walked into a lot of stores, not necessarily to look at anything but to enjoy their air conditioning :)
We stopped at The Grand Lux Cafe. I was so excited for dinner. My friend Megan, who lives in Florida has talked about how this restaurant is better than The Cheesecake Factory. In my mind I couldn't understand how it could be possible, but my friends it was all divine! So if at any time you find yourself by the Grand Lux Cafe, go taste for yourselves how spectacular the food is.
They have baked to order desserts which take 30 minutes to prepare. So you order it with your entree. We ordered the Molten Chocolate Cake, it has a melted chocolate center, served with vanilla ice cream, so yummy!
We decided to end the night and walk back to our hotel which was in the center of downtown. It was nice being able to walk everywhere instead of trying to find parking. Cambree was exhausted and so excited to sleep in our king bed with us!
The next morning we did what I've been dying to go do in Chicago. A boat tour of the river and Lake Michigan. There are so many neat buildings it was fun to hear about their history.
Did I say how hot it was? In fact we found out when we were leaving their was a heat advisory until this Saturday due to how hot it is here. So we decided to end our short trip with some deep dish pizza, so of course we stopped at Giordano's!
Cambree taking a very important call...
We left at 1pm and since Cambree hadn't taken a nap yet she seriously zonked out in the first 2 minutes of putting her in the car.
See you next time Chicago!

Cambree at 1 year old!!!
While in Utah we got Cambree's 1 year old photos taken. She wasn't really smiling a whole ton but Aimee used her magjic and got wonderful pictures of our baby girl. I couldn't be happier with the results. I am so serious if you ever need a photographer, Aime Photography is my reccomendation.
Isn't she stunning?

Lately she's been throwing her head back, so dramatic!

This is one of my FAVORITES! I can't even get over how perfect this picture turned out. Benton just rolled his eyes when he saw what I had brought her to wear, but I am in LOVE with this picture!

Check out her blog for more photos of our family! Love you Aime Photography!

2nd half!
Benton flew in for the 2nd half of our trip. We stayed at Benton's moms house, so we could visit with his family.
I am blessed to have Linda as my mother in law, she is always so great to me. Thank you for letting us stay with you guys for 2 weeks!
Benton and his mom!
For the 4th of July we spent our morning with the Maughan Family. We went to the North Ogden Parade, which mostly was advertisements. I adore his sister Aimee and was so happy for the invite. She is so easy to talk to and I love her to death!
Here is her cute family...
Afterwards Cambree took a nap and woke up all ready to play. Linda and Tony bought her this toy and she loved walking with it. She's so ready to walk, she even took a couple steps without our help while we were in Utah!
Benton and I drove up to Idaho with his dad and Marie to see his Aunt's Ranch. It was a 2 hour drive and Cambree did really good. The view out of their ranch was gorgeous, so green.
We took a 6 wheeler to see their 600 acres of land. I almost didn't go, but I'm glad I did. The view was breath taking!
Benton and his dad on their property...
They have a fishing pond on their property, I've been fishing a couple times before but have never caught anything. Since it was a fishing pond with tons of fish I was able to catch a couple good ones, I was pretty excited!!!
We threw Cambree another birthday celebration with some of our family. I just wanted her to celebrate her first birthday with those who love her! I'm glad we did it!
Chelsie was able to drive up and come support Miss Cambree!
3 birthday cakes can't hurt ya can it?
And opening presents...
It was such a wonderful visit. I'm glad we could spend some quality time with our family and friends.
